CanadianRugby
Congrats to the best goalie and one of, if not the best Canuck of all time, Roberto Luongo, on his retirement. Will always remember that last playoff game vs Anaheim when they were a superteam on it's way to a cup. One of the best performances we'll ever see in a Canuck uniform. Sorry if this is a repost but Iain MacIntyre did a great piece on Louuuu https://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/nhl/roberto-luongo-leaves-brilliant-complex-expensive-canucks-legacy/ Netflix could make a series – it would run for years – about Luongo’s time with the Canucks from 2006 until he was returned in a trade to the Florida Panthers on March 4, 2014. About how his acquisition rebranded and legitimized the Canuck franchise, and launched it into a golden era that saw Vancouver win six division titles, two Presidents’ Trophies and make it to Game 7 of the 2011 Stanley Cup Final. And how Luongo, one of the best ever at his position, became hero, then villain and eventually a beautiful human as vulnerable and fallible as the rest of us. Where do you guys and girls on CDC rank him as all time Canuck?

Ghostsof1915
I know Nonis still gets a lot of flak, because he had a very conservative, build from the net out approach. But he did recognize the team was going nowhere until it had a top notch net minder. Yes the 2006-07 drafts were horrible. But he did get us Schneider, Edler, Bourdon (RIP), and Raymond. The pieces Burke and Nonis brought in were to form the core of the Canucks for the next 8 seasons. Nonis much like Benning saw how Burke might have been wheeling and dealing. But also left the cupboard pretty dry for prospects. Thank you Lu. You exercised the demons of the goalie graveyard.
189lb enforcers?
Luongo was a monster for this franchise when it most needed one. It was a hell of a ride, all of it. Even his Lu-sieve-er flop. One of the best Canucks ever. No doubt about it.
