Florida Panthers GMs Caboose and Gally have announced that they will retire at the end of the Matthew Tkachuk deal.

It was a difficult decision but we felt that we had to wait for GM @Gator to retire as he has secured the next 3 Stanley Cups. His outside of the box thinking is simply too much to compete with. We will turn our attention to winning in 2027 and we will ride off into the sunset with our heads held high in 2030.

I will say I have been 1 of those GMs frustrated with the agents in my first couple of seasons. So I can definitely see where the frustration comes from in that regard... But when you actually sit back and put yourselves in their shoes I'm sure you'll see they're doing the best they can to make everyone happy.. Trust me I have probably annoyed every single agent there is over my 3 year tenure. I'm probably the last team they'd "rig" it for lol.

And if you do feel shafted let them know, and explain why.. I do, and as long as your not a raging loon about it I'm sure they'll give you a solid explanation why they decided to go the other way. I got a bit upset over 1 guy I missed out on this offseason, but the agent gave me a solid explanation for it and I moved on.

I know coming from a team that signed 5+ UFAs it might may seem a bit bias, but honestly the agents system has been better this year than years past imo. The real issue seems to be on lack of interest in signing guys, or lack of interest in entering a bidding war.

If you're at an auction and only 4 people are bidding, items are going to go cheap, and to those same 4 people over and over again.

DISCORD:

There are some members here not on discord and not wanting that avenue of communication, fair enough. However I would recommend using discord when in this league to keep up on real time discussion, real time trade talk and in general keeping up with the group. If you have chosen not to use the discord option that is fine, but anyone wanting to join simply PM myself and I will send you an invite to join the group.

Thank guys.

Ben Hutton 1yr $1m available for free. We are happy to keep him for playoff depth, but because he's a great kid (30 or not, he's still a kid) and we feel he deserves what we can't give him. An NHL spot. we want to send him to a team with the roster spot available on their NHL squad.

*insert Ben Hutton wink GIF*

Why would CDC not have that 1?

Can we loan out Ben Hutton? Like allow a team to use him but not allow them to store in their system and flip if he becomes a mainstay?

Cuz ya know... It'd be cool if you could

Anyone wanting Hutton for free must sell me on the idea he has a spot on your main roster. You need to sell me like I'm his agent!

That is a picture of my very first GML trade where I acquired Sidney Crosby. We then flipped Crosby a little bit later and that was the kickstart of our rebuild. Lets take a look at how that trade affected us today.

After working out a trade tree this is the results we came up with. We have acquired a lot of solid pieces for our future. We definitely gave up the most pieces, but feel happy with the quality we have got back over the 3 years stemming from that one deal.

So I have to report to Edmonton fans that IMO Patrick did not want to be here. Or maybe he did deserve it, term and big dollars were offered! Maybe we just got out GM'd? We are going to be transparent because our fans are upset. We had dollars that honored his MVP past, but only 1 year to cover risk as he was also a 57 point forward at 34

REPORTER: Patrick can you comment on your former GMs comments about your departure?

P.. KANE: We understand their concern with my production and age, but I feel like I'm still 25 when I'm healthy. Truth is, on a 1 year deal we won't have a good shot at a solid "contract year". I am expected to miss half of the season. As much as  I love Edmonton, they just didn't have the same belief in me as Toronto showed, and it truly shows in the deal. Oh, and as for the 57pts.. I'll probably get that on weekends alone playing on a line with McDavid!

I wish Edmonton and their fans all the best. We know it's a tough loss for them. There will be a day they can look back and appreciate my time there.

Who personally lied and jerked me, Sidney Crosby, around when I waived to come to Toronto.

REPORTER: Gator, what are your thoughts on former player Sidney Crosby's comments about you?

GATOR: He was always a crybaby. We only traded for him because we knew we'd find a fanboy waiting to overpay for the aging crybaby. Best decisions we made in our rebuild involves him.

1. Acquiring him

2. Flipping him

Crosby will forever be respected in Toronto for his contributions to our future success, but his constant crying will certainly not be missed.

Like seriously.. This is him after rookie Trent Frederic ran into him in practice. You really can't make this shit up
