    Trades and signings don't happen in a vacuum. Essentially the value of players and signings are kinda hard to predict. I like what you're saying but I think a Beauvillier is going to be on this roster. After all the Canucks are trying to make the playoffs.

    On one hand our defence looks better than it has in years. However in the big picture the roster as its currently built isn't a Stanley Cup contender- I don't think the Canucks are better than Kings, Golden Knights, Oilers, and the Ducks could take a step this year. Just my 2 cents. This season should definitely be a lot more competitive and hopefully we won't blow as many leads in the third perioid

    Here is why I think it can work. If Canucks are hoping to compete with this core we need a pick in this draft that can help us in 2-3 years versus a player than can help in 4-5 years.
