  1. Rule #1, don't piss off the status quo, even if your right, they won't like it one bit even if the status quo is blind and dumb as a post..
  2. Why is that so funny? Well if corporate wasn't standing to make money of jerseys you know they wouldn't even have jerseys other than the team ones..
  3. Making it safe for players? No one who plays in the NHL gives a rats a$$ if someone is gay/bi whatever or not, thinking such things is laughable.. c'mon man it's about the bling and that's it.
  4. What? I don't think so, it's just them pushing something to make money off and that's it... If it wasn't for that, I doubt the practice jerseys wouldn't even exist
  5. I sort of agree, choice is choice, he signed up to play hockey though, nothing else, and I'm sure you know what I mean by that..
  6. You see where this is coming from right? Corporate world jumping on something to make money, anything else I can deal with but other agenda's? Not even close, mixing the 2 is bull$hit...
  7. Are you on something? Sit him? Over a F'g warm up jersey? Omfg!
  8. I agree on the first part but I disagree on the whole subject, sports should be left alone, if you can play a sport, you can play. Politics, sexual preference, whatever should stay the F out of it to begin with, it's not needed. And I'll re-stress my point, IF your good enough to play then you can play regardless of ANYTHING else.
  9. Sorry east but I disagree, Boes's game has a glaring issue, he's just not there defensively and never has been. We need guys who can do things to prevent goals too, this has been our issue for years.
  10. Not at all.. Boes has a serious wrist issue and still is awful defensively, he couldn't even pick the right guy to cover the other night and it cost us a goal and it was a easy play, why couldn't he do it? Simply because he doesn't read very well unless it's on scoring and that's not enough.
  11. He'd better play lights out for the rest of the season or we'll be cutting our losses and retaining some of his cap if he doesn't or simply getting less than he's worth.
  12. "our vision for this team has not changed". Vision is a higher and more esoteric level that something a mucky as strategy. Vision is an ideal and the strategy is how to achieve the vision so he's not getting pinned down on the Miller "about face" for example. Core: Pettersson, Hughes, Miller, Demko. Miller now? Emerging new players: Kuzmenko, Mikheyev, Bear, Hronek. I guess this is the list of non-core players who they are not likely to trade this summer. Development: Tocchet implementing style of hockey and accountability. Unified vision from Abby to Van. Rutherford is proud of operations staff. Named: Allvin, Granato, Castonguay, Clancy, Johnston, Smyl I guess that JR is now writing letters so that he can control better what he says. Thoughts? I just want to see this roster a little tougher, we all know how the playoffs go..
  13. Bye Boeser and Garland, just as long as it's Kuz to no-one!! Rockin the show like no ones business! Wtg Kuz!!
  14. Cheech, "420" into the 3rd!! Doobie? You lighting up, up there Johnny boy? Don't bogart, shorty wants a puff!
  15. However that all changes if and when we make the post season anytime soon, that changes because Hughes will FOR SURE be painted with a huge target on his jersey so if we don't protect him, he'll either be injured or his effectiveness will certainly diminish. Fact is we need a bigger, faster, more skilled Schenn type but we never seem to get that on D where we could use it the most and add to that the ability to help keep Demko's crease clear and Hughes isn't capable of that so his partner needs to be.
  16. Meh... Next time I'll hafta kill ya! but this time I'll let it go lmao. See what a nice guy I'am! Wait I'm Canadian... Born nice I guess lol
  17. No, hesitation in play especially with D trying to stretch pass instead of 3 man easy break out.. forwards out of position for long passes because they were too far away and would be picked off easily and a wait too long for a guy to get open would end up a turn-over in our end a LOT of the time and only Demko standing on his head saved us from losing/looking much worse. That's only part of it too.. but that's what I meant, and it exposed our lack of speed that Green probably adopted a "long game" trying to move the puck quicker by long passes instead of short quick ones moving up methodically by committee closer together. Do I know for sure if Green or Willy D started it first? No but it makes sense under certain circumstances but that's what happens if by committee is skipped and relies on anything else but. The best teams in the league do it and always have done it to win cups, seldom has it been done here to the degree it needs to be but maybe RT will change that so it sticks like 2012, 1994, 1982 etc.. those teams were good at it too and that's why we had success but not enough depth... Hence no cup
  18. So your going to.point to one single incident that has nothing to do with what I was saying? Try that again k?
  19. That too BUT Giraffe does make "some" really good plays too. Just like the rest of the team that still has a bit of what I call "Green hesitation" I think it's mostly gone now but not completely for the majority of the roster, we still hesitate too much but it's better. D seems to have it the worst and that's where it's the most costly and glaring if it leads to goals against. I noticed it the most when Willy D was here and it just continued.. I was hoping it would be addressed and it is finally it's looking like but it needs a LOT more practice for everyone, not just Giraffe..
  20. Well good! Yeah I don't think there's enough emphasis on what we lost as a team with losing LB, a great guy was bad enough to lose but his coolness and confidence was fun to watch and stick handling like he was in a phone booth with ease but Hronek from what you just said, sounds the same. LB and Hughes-like players are not easy to find.. they make it look easy for a reason. Yeah we miss that, right now Kuz/Hughes is our best example for that right now. Both aren't afraid to try moves they pull off easily and seldom miss.. Hronek can fight "ok" from what I saw on YouTube highlights, which is surprising but welcomed so he can stand up for himself.
  21. Anyway speaking of Kuzmenko, which we moved on from, now there's a subject, what a win that was, he singlehandedly moved the retool up a notch so we can focus more on signing D and sign better D capable forwards who are willing to incorporate that into their game heavily leaning that way. Best team at it wins a cup.. 35 goals now, Kuz! Your rockin the show bro!
