I get what you are saying. But this is going to be about $1000 a month, which I can afford, but it's a bigger chunk of my cheque than I wanted to allocate when I initially started. If I was a few years out of school, instead of the 7 months now, and clearly making more money then I would've bought it right on the spot today.

I've always been restrictive with my money and this is doing the complete opposite. So if I do this and end up regretting it later then I'll hang myself. But then there's also my salary review in September.. argh..

I guess if you aren't entirely comfortable doing it then don't. At the end of the day I pay squat for my car right now which is still quite good.

We got a 8 year loan, just to get the payment down to that amount.  I know, 8 years?!?!?!?  But even at that term, we are only paying a total of $3,100 in interest.

      Thx for the replies.

yeah; I'll pass I think likely which sucks and may be stupid/smart at the same time. It's considerably more than I wanted to spend. The gas alone will be more than I spend on my Prelude now for an entire month (gas/insurance). At the end of the day, I want a new car, I don't need a new car. Aside from a couple fairly small cosmetic issues, my Prelude is still in great shape.
