Hoping that the Canucks pick Matthew Phillips in the 5th or 6th or 7th rounds (if he's avaliable) from the Victoria Royals. He could be our own version of Johnny Gaudreau, if given the chance.

I think Brooks can be signed. I'd try and sign Brooks and draft Phillips... with the hopes that one of these small, speedy wingers becomes a Gaudreau-lite. Only downside I see is that Brooks put up his huge numbers as an overager while Phillips put up his numbers as a 17/18 year old. That's what makes Phillips, in my mind, slightly more exciting. (I also got to see Phillips play once this year and he caught my eye too).
