CodyHodgson's #1fan
Kesler is a last name, so he would probably get made fun of for that. Although you could name him Ryan and tell him he was named after ryan kesler, that would be really cute! if you want to incorportae Bieksa's name in tehre too kevin as a middle name because again biekjsa is a last name. so Ryan Kevin _____ ? Wyoming Fan
Thanks Guys! Figured this was a good place to get some feedback, sucks being in Seattle where NHL IQ is very low I do like the name Kesler created, Ryker. Anyways, we have till early July so maybe Kesler hoisting the Stanley Cup will push me over as far the name goes LoL
TOMapleLaughs
Buddy of mine named son Trevor Linden Johnson. I don't know if that was more 'honor' or 'reference.' The buddy was a lady friend. TOML "Greg Gretzky Gregson."
Gino Odjick
I don't know, looks like Kesler might already be taken by that other dude's friends (from what I read in the comments above). I've always been fond of BigCanucksFan127. Just has a nice ring to it...
RBCanucks
why not Ryan?

Spoosh
Even if I inserted a joke at the end of my last post, I meant no disrespect. A message board just isn't a very friendly place to come looking for answers to questions as delicate as yours. It's you child and his name alone and many posters here don't have even an ounce of respect towards something like that. My son has his middle name after Alexander Mogilny. And it's Alexander, not Gennadevitch.

Danuck
I know a guy named Kesler that is in his twenties, so its not that un-common I guess. I know another person named Linden but I'm pretty sure he was named after Trevor.
bankuba
Don't do it. Provide your son with a name that is his own. As a father of two sons, I urge you to reconsider.
Beef Jyrki
I love the guy but is he really worthy? It just seems odd , but what the hell be unique! It seems like more of a dog name though.
the boards
Just don't spell it funny, like a bumper sticker I saw yesterday: "Luongo saves - Kessler scores on the rebound"
TOMapleLaughs
My favorite is when idiot parents name their kids common names that are purposely misspelled. Pretty sure Ryen, Chryss, and Jennafur will be cursing their parents for a lifetime. TOML "Idiets."
jeebz
I like the idea personally. But I guess I'm a little bias seeing as my sons name is Linden.
PDubbya
That's a lot to think about if you are naming your son Kesler, of course as it is typically a common german last name but usually spelled with "Two S's". I named my 2nd Great Dane Kesler after the playoffs and picked him up just in time for this season to start, it was cool because his ears were cropped and he was on the sidelines just like the Canucks Kesler for the first 5 games. Definitely awesome watching him grow because when playoffs come around he should be in beast mode. But again, naming a dog is much different than your child, I wouldn't simply for the fact that I have a long history that is traced back my centuries and keeping names revolving in first middle and last have given our family a good way of tracing back. Nordiques_fan
If my parents had named me Stastny, I guess I would be pretty pissed today. Just a thought.

Chris for mascot
I'm from Seattle and love the Canucks. Of course my favirote player is from the USA, Ryan Kesler. So my wife and I just found out were having a boy around July 4th. Ryan Kesler is my top male role model for his passion, determination, and back checking. What do you all think of naming my son Kesler? I love it, my wife not so much. Just looking for feedback here, and hopefully some ammunition I can use on my wife Also, yes I have already though of Bieksa as a first name (LoL) Mr Canucks #
johntobes
I think Kesler sounds good as a first name.
