1. 2011 Stanley Cup Finals (3-4 Bruins)
2. 2012 Conference Quarterfinal (2-4 Kings)
3. 2003 Conference Semifinal (3-4 Wild)
3. 2009 Conference Semifinal (2-4 Blackhawks)
4. 2010 Conference Semifinal (2-4 Blackhawks)
5. 1994 Stanley Cup Finals (3-4 Rangers) (Remember, every game was a bonus that playoff. They "won" a second place and people remember it with joy compared to the 2011 run)

i find this year's loss worse than last year. last year we were the best team and expected to go far and we did. this year those expectations were the same and we didn't even come close to it.

It doesn't rank.
Many predicted it.

It is painful being a Canuck fan, after you get your heart ripped like this and times before, it makes you wonder why.

Even though I knew we were going to have trouble against the Kings, I was fully expecting to beat them. Dissapointed because of the high expectations I had.

This is nothing compared to some past exits. There is a reason that teams that go to the finals one year often do not go very far the next.

The one that bugs me the most was in 2003 against the Wild. It was right there for the team, but Crawford kept starting Cloutier...%&$@! I can't even start thinking about it.

Meh...it is what it is.

The 4 game sweep against the Islanders in the Finals was bad too, although the Islanders were a great team that year.

The one against Minnesota was horrible, especially being up in that series.

Boston was obviously a let down.

This one hurt, but I kind of expected it. I knew facing LA would be tough, and the Canucks weren't on their A game for at least the last 20 games or so.

The exits against the Hawks were bad, but I tend to just forget about them even happening. Also considering the one year we swept the Blues, and then were exited and made fools of against Chicago.

I was at that final home game, we were up and then the Wild scored a couple quick crap goals on that goat. My wife and I were in such disbelief

So many arrogant fans expect a cup from the team, even I secretly expected us to win. Teams got bigger, better, faster, and stronger. We had our chance last year, but we blew it.
Ah well, go canucks go

Believe in Blue.
No matter what happens, win or lose, we made it to the playoffs, won two consecutive presidents trophies, fought off a sweep. I'm proud of the boys, let's get it done next year!

It happens far too often to rage. Raymond falling down should be a drinking game.

This one isn't that bad... I find myself caring less and less about the NHL with the poor officiating, the garbage discipline & the lack of respect the players have for each other with all the intentional injuries they're dishing out. I'm seriously considering not bothering to get the Center Ice package next year.

It was far better than 1971 - 1974, 1977, 1978, 1985, 1987, 1988, 1990, 1997 - 2000, 2006 and 2008. I hate seeing the playoffs start and the Canucks not even having a chance.

And the time Joel Otto kicked it in. I'm still bitter about that one.

And the entire 2004 - 2005 season. That just sucked.

For me it would have to be last years. Came into the season and said "Canucks are winning the cup" First time ever that I was confident they could do it. Playoffs started and same thing. Get to the finals up 2-0 and same thing. Went up 3-2 and thinking only have to win 1/2 and fully believed canucks would win the cup....and it never happened.

This year I did not expect a cup. From game 1-82 I never felt that it factor from this team.
I think what will make it worse for canucs fans is the competition remaining.
ASSUMING
STL vs LA
PHX vs NSH

FLA vs OTT
PHI vs WAS

if I am not mistaken only PHI has ever won the cup. That means that more likely than not there will be a first time winner. Another team to win a cup before the canucks.... that will probably make this season more disappointing.

This team makes it hard for me to even care with the diving. nothing compares to '94. This team needs a Linden, a Ronning an Adams, this team needs heart and integrity before they reach the level of the 94 team. until then.... meh.

That doesn't bother me so much. St.Louis and L.A. have both been in the league longer than Vancouver. Plus, I like the way Nashville goes about their business.

I don't really think it ranks top 10.

The team came out and sucked from the starting gates. I was dreading this match-up so I am not really surprised we lost either.

If we were up 3-0 or 3-1 and lost it would be pretty high on the list.

Watching Chicago force a game 7 last year was far more disappointing.

It's definitely up there. To win the President's and then lose 4-1 in the first round...Pretty devastating. As weird as it is, i'd be more devastated if they lost a game 7 in the first round.

Last year was the worst. Best team all year, up 2-0 and 3-2 in the series...1 game away from winning it all...I'll put Minnesota and Chicago x 2 above this as well.

This series would have been completely different with a healthy Daniel from the start. I will always hate Duncan Keith for what he did.

This one doesn't rank at all in the top 10.
The Canucks played sub par just about every game since Christmas.
How we got 1st overall is beyond me.
In other words...I didn't expect the Canucks to go far these playoffs.

Looking at the west and their first round matchup I am not surprised they lost in the first round. They didn't have a chance at getting out of the west anyway... The Kings were and are a better team and the better team won...

Between the team's recent performance (lasck of scoring) and the injury to Daniel, it is disappointing but not that surprising actually: some of the early exists over the last few years have been worse.
