Jiri Hudler making up for lost time with 2 goals 1 assist for nine points

Matt Stajan with 2 assists for six points

Captain Joe Thornton still warming up and with 58 minutes to play.

This is our big night, goalie points notwithstanding, a good push by the boys and solid supporting cast. roughly 50 points so far tonight.

Rumour: The Washington Capitals are clearly going younger and sources say that veteran defenseman Roman Hamrlik is not in the team's future plans. With so many capable NHL players that the Washington would like to get in the lineup, one may not be surprised to see the long serving Capital assistant captain to be moved in the upcoming months.

Rumour: One can only speculate on the goaltending controversy in Washington. However, young star Devan Dubnyk has now placed three games in a row while Finnish superstar Miikka Kiprusoff has watched on the bench. I can't imagine that Kip is too happy with his new backup role and sources tell me that The Caps General Manager da.moose has been busy trying to find a trade partner.
