Recommended Posts

I can't wait to go on twitter and see @HockeyyInsiderr say "Hey everybody, I had this info 2 weeks ago *Shows smoke and mirrors with no named source* #MSM wake up, #LateAgain or some BS

So sick of this guy trashing Dreger and Mackenzie when he is not named and doesn't name any sources

You can't trade your star player for non roster players/picks that won't play for your team for 3 years.

By the way, you can't be shortsighted in a trade. Boston traded their star, for those random mediocre parts, trades some of those parts for some key players in their cup run (and allowing cap room for others)...

I actually believe BOTH teams got better.

New York, because they have plenty of depth down the lineup, but adding Nash gives them a big game breaker, to take the pressure off their other scorers.

CBJ got better because they aren't in the position where one star will help them as much as strengthening their roster in multiple ways.

Gillis said Howson asked for something that would destroy our team. I think he severely overpriced Rick Nash, took almost all of the teams out of the bidding as they went elsewhere during FA. Then all of a sudden Philly drops out and goes for Weber.

Now he's left with only the NYR. Hey at least he got something.

Um, no...no it does not. Tim Erixon is a fantastic defensive prospect - heads and tails over Tanev. Dubinsky is obviously far superior to Raymond (he's probably slightly ahead of Booth). And Anisimov is a 6'4", 212 lb. center who is versatile (can play wing), was 1/2 a ppg in the playoffs, and just turned 24. He's no 'throw-in'.

+1 - glad at least someone gets it.

Howson didn't do too bad, all things considered.

LOL - Howson sucks balls! Traded away the best power forward in the game, was arguably Canada's top player in te Olympics too, for a tough top 6'er in Dubinksy, a shaky top 6'er in Anisimov, a late 1st, and a really shaky prospect in Erixon :picard:

....not lying, but Booth, Ballard, Raymond, 1st, Sauve would've been a better deal than that.

Wow, just wow, and to then think he's not been fired yet, :picard:

Rangers will suck more. Gaborik and Richards getting older.

The reason why they finish first was depth and team work. Now they will likely lose Del Zotto/Girardi and Stepan or Kreider and1or Dubinsky.

They lost prust to UFA. Not sure who will fill the void??

Happy he's going to the east

I really think Howson had better offers on the table but didn't bite because he thought he could've gotten more and teams probably withdrew their offers and looked elsewhere, Philly and New York were probably the top 2 teams running for Nash but Philly probably turned to Weber after realizing what Howsons' asking for. Howson probably took this deal before even New York turns away.
