Drybone
I agree with that. I disagree with that statement. Atheism is not a religion. Most atheists don't hate any people at all. Just like everyone else - there's just a few bad apples is each group...

Heretic
Interesting article on what happened to Left Wing Terrorists: "Some Leftists Become Islamists The end of the Cold War does not entirely explain what happens to left-leaning violent extremists, however. As Robison, Crenshaw and Jenkins relate, when the socialist justification lost its full force, would-be terrorists had to find new ideologies to legitimate themselves, which may explain the rise of both Islamist and ethno-nationalist claims among terrorist groups. Additionally, even though Islamist tendencies may appear on their surface more conservative and "right wing" than left, they have some subterranean likeness:Although Islamist and traditional Leftist ideology may be logically incompatible systems, our analysis indicates their deep kinship at the level of terrorist action. Both spring from the social strains of transitional development and are facilitated by political opportunities associated with increased political rights. Both are likewise spurred by Western military dependency and yet are reduced by foreign investment." Drybone
And that is nonsense. Atheism is actually the rejection of belief in the existence of deities. What you choose to skew to fit your agenda is one thing, what the actual definition is is quite another.

JLumme
Exactly the point. Atheism is about anti religion. Rejecting Deities. Its negative. You are the 21st guy to prove my point. Still waiting for a guy to espouse the joys of being an Atheist without putting others down.

Drybone
I've told you this before, but you didn't get it then. Maybe you'll understand this time, but I find that hard to believe. Athiesm isn't anti-religion, its the absence of religion. You may be thinking of anti-theism, which still isn't correct... but it's a little closer. Heretic
He isnt a christian. He hasn't even read the 4 gospels. He says hes read two of them. Being a christian is a spiritual matter anyways but reading the 4 gospels would be a fundamental start. Being a chirstian takes years and years of spiritual practice. NONE of it will include hanging around atheists and intellectually debating the merits of their secular society. . Please do not take what he says as a 'Christian' . He is a guy who wants to talk religion with people.

Super19
Again. the topic is about attacks on USA Soil Since 1985... I know some here have problems with comprehension So go look @ original article link scroll down and you will see Muslim extremists have killed around 3,000 injured over 12,000....or roughly 98% of all deaths and injuries from terrorist attacks on US Soil since 1985.... maybe less attacks but there was one day where they killed and injured thousands you may remember it. Heretic
You need to be born of spirit before you can become a christian . Once you do, none of these intellectual arguments will mean anything to you anymore. Read the 4 gospels.
Drybone
The FBI Terrorism Report shows : 318 incidents 1980-2005 which averages out to one a month The highest number of terrorist incidents in the U.S. by region (90) took place in Puerto Rico The total number of deaths due to terrorism incidents in the U.S. is 3,178 which means that aside from 9/11 and the OKC bombing the total number of terrorism deaths from 1980-2005 is 33. In 12 of the 26 years covered by the report there were no deaths or injuries from terrorist attacks in the U.S. The 9/11 incident has quite obviously inflated those figures, you know it and I know it. And with that, thousands of leading Islamic Ulema have outright condemned the attacks. The main point here is that, 'not all terrorists are Muslims' and Islam is not violent.
