On what grounds? I'm giving the best player, a 1st and a 2nd. Who is the clear, undisputed winner of that trade?

The Colorado Avalanche have agreed to terms with their Division Rivals, the San Jose Sharks.

To Colorado:
Marc-Eduard Vlasic ($4.2m)
Logan Couture ($2.8m)

To San Jose:
Matt Duchene (3.875m)
Colorado 2014 1st Round Pick
NY Islanders 2014 2nd Round Pick

This will also allow San Jose to be cap compliant, as the CPU had Couture in the minors.

I thought trades with the CPU werent allowed?

JP_2233 was announced as the San Jose GM last page. I since contacted him and negotiated the deal with him.

I'm still curious on the explanation, since people seem behind vetoing it. Duchene is younger, the same potential, and already better than Couture. So, Logan is nearer to the end of his development, and is still worse. Vlasic for a 1st and a 2nd wouldn't be vetoed, and you still have to take into consideration that I'm due a bit back from Duchene being better. I'd like to hear the case for veto, because I left those negotiations feeling like I overpaid.

The bigger question, is when did Colorado and San Jose join the same division?

It seemed logical that they'd be in with the Californias, instead of with the Western Canadas. It's a stupid alignment of divisions, but then again Winnipeg is still in the Southeast so I guess this is a minor oversight in the grand scheme of things.

Kind of a pointless trade on the sharks end. Couture is better offensively and he's giving a top-4 d away because??? But whatever non of my business, I've seen worse trades.

Because Vlasic being included in the deal was the condition under which I said I would include Duchene in negotiations. I'd have rather kept Duchene than Couture, a million times in a row.

One is also a couple years younger, which matters. Couture will cap at 86-87. Duchene could be 90-91 easily in a few years. Either way, he's better, and younger, with more room to grow.

I assume it's Last Page, for people on smart phones or tablets with push screens to small to hit the Last Page button.

some trades are difficult to judge. This trade involves 2 good players for 1 real good proven player and good draft picks.I would not question Colemans integrity.

oh ok that makes sense. Instead of clicking the little arrow they type in something random to get to the last page. Gotcha.

Look overall the deal rapes San Jose. Anyone who agrees with you is a straight up moron. Like 3 overall and 2 years makes a huuuughh impact on involving a 85 overall defencemen for low picks. Like wake up, you know you robbed SJS, dont act like you "overpaid".

EDIT: im not attacking you, just dont think this trade should go through. Not fair for SJS

It's a good thing you're not upset about missing out on Vlasic. Welcome to the league, by the way, calling several people morons.

Is the purpose of veto to stop teams from winning trades, or to stop cheaters?

Secondly, are you, then, calling me a cheater?

Happy with the trade. Won't lie. but more because I am willing to sacrifice my draft to win while my team is in it's prime. So, the 1st and 2nd don't mean the world to me. I traded a 2nd for an 84 Leopold last year, I'm pretty sure that the bump from 84-85 is worth a first.

Should probably calm down there champ. You're the only one calling this a robbery, so you've essentially just called the half-dozen GMs who have seen this trade morons. There's really no need for that. DAAD will decide and if it comes down to it we can have a vote.

The trade seems like Colorado won it but not by much.

Duchene is slightly more valuable than Couture

Vlasic is definitely better than two players rated 3.5 stars as the first rounder will likely be over 24.

I wouldn't veto this trade, I just personally think Colorado came slightly out on top.

In comparison this is nothing like other trades that have been done.

I guess this is why we shouldn't announce trades until Trav reports them in the forum first, to stop the VETO crap LOL
