McBackup
Who said Mark had to be a guys name and Carly a girls. Nobody ever said I couldn't name my son Carly and daughter Mark but somehow gender specific naming popped outta nowhere
UMB
Carly is probably the worst name in the English language though. Regardless of gender.

Bure fan
I did it because it's a good way to remember what gender your animal is... If my cat was named Tyson and was a girl after a couple of years I would just assume its a boy.
UMB
The song is irrelevant. I'm not hating on people named Carly, I'm hating on the name itself.

SukhKular
My next dog's name (male or female) will be named Punisher. Instead of teaching him/her the word quiet, I'll teach him/her the word control. So when he/she goes crazy barking I'll look at it dead in the eye, say "Punisher... Control!". Uh oh! Langdon Algur
Instead of a name we should just indentify them by smell like they do. And each other while were at it. From now on my name is how I smell.

Monty
I have two dogs. French Bulldog's name is Alice and my Boston Terrier's name is Carl. We weren't too picky about the Frenchie because she was already named by our breeder and it fit perfectly already. Our Boston was a no brainer. I think Carl is the funniest name. Named him after: Carl on Starship Troopers, Carl Weathers, Carlton Fisk, and Carlton Banks. In about 7-8 years when we get another dog, will get another Boston Terrier and name him Basil Fawlty.
