I play on my NES emulator all the time...I'm pretty nostalgic when it comes to gaming...I had at one time..an Atari, an Atari Jaguar, a Sega Dreamcast, a Saturn, Turbografx16...spent way too much time at the local arcades growing up and was practically glued to the Galaga machine. Our Pizza Hut just brought in n old Galaga machine and I'm constantly coming up with different reasons to go in, just use the restroom, play about 4 games and leave without having to buy their greasy pizza.. lol.

I heard Unity of Command is good and there's a demo for it.

If you also like grand strategy games, you might wanna check out the Hearts of Iron games.

None of the games I mentioned are retro by any means though.

Legend of Dragoon from the PS1 for me.

Just found a game just like it, a 4 disc turn based rpg with character development - Lost Odyssey (xbox 360). Anyone else played it?

Yeah, it was probably the best turn-based RPG for x360 when it came out. Cool story: I got to the very last dungeon of it, got busy with work for a few weeks, xbox RROD'd and I never finished it.

I like the short stories that you unlock along the way. A nice touch.

Cool, thanks bro.

I'll put the question out to everyone, are there any good turned based RPGs for the 360?

My all time favourite game is Neverwinter Nights.

A close second is Knights of the Old Republic.

Third would be Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind.

They are all barely 10+ years old and some of the their expansions are younger.

Other games would be Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, Paper Mario, Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask. I don't think any on my list would be considered "retro".

Just got back into board games I used to play. Axis & Allies and Shogun aka Samurai Swords aka Ikusa. Friends just purchased a new board game Conquest of Nerath. Meh...a way to past the time with old friends. :)

Yesterday, I've installed and started Ultima VII + Forge of Virtue for the first time in my life. I guess my free time is doomed for a while.

I just loaded up some Pokemon Blue and Silver on my emulator, I still even have the old cartridges!

Say what you will about the crappy cartoon and the trading cards but the first two generations of the games are fun as hell.
