Tanev does all that work, then the forward screw it up. Story of the night.

Can Arniel be canned before the end of the season? Anything is better than this guy.

Edit: Arniel's game plan:

1) Scratch all good players
2) Play any remaining skilled players in the wrong position
3) ???
4) Profit!

Wow. Climie needs to take a crap in his teammates skates. They've left him out to dry all night.

Wrong. I mean when he gets scratched for no reason all the time it might mess him up a little bit. This is like is first mistake all year.

Yeah Sauve has the best +/- on the team last I checked.

Well he's having a terrible game. That Griffin player easily man handeld him on the half boards to set up their second goal.

Wowee. That game was a party in a can.

Tanev must get sick of carrying this team on his back. Schroeder and Kassian apparently didn't get the message. And Av needs to come down and show this team systems. Climie looked really good tonight.

Till next time.

Good job taking the confidence away from your best players Arniel. These guys are afraid to make little mistakes now, and aren't playing the way they usually do. Arniel sure knows how to destroy prospects with good potential .

There's a reason why the Red Wings are such a successful organization. It's not a fluke.

Getting good players through drafting doesn't end after you make your selection. It has to be followed up with good player development. That means a strong farm team, with strong coaching, and strong systems that are identical to the parent team. That way the transition to the NHL is much easier.

For too long the Canucks have had no control over their farm teams, and since AV no coach has really gotten a whole lot out of our prospects.

If guys like Schroeder, Kassian, and Connauton come up to the NHL and try and play the way Arniel has them playing, they're going to be absolutely lost. And likely benched in no time.

We have talented prospects, but their talent is being wasted right now. If Canucks management doesn't step up and do something in the next couple years, we're not going to be developing much high end talent. I'm just glad Jensen is in the SEL right now, and not in the AHL.

Arneil or however you spell his name sucks big time. I understand why he lost his NHL job now. Their seems to be no real system going for Chicago and other teams have figured them out.

Hard to tell exactly how he went down so easily. Could have easily gotten his skates tangled up.
Even then, his urgency in coming back to hinder the scorer was sorely lacking. Not saying it would have made any difference, but gliding back into the play when there's an open man in front certainly looks bad.

On a different note, Longpre seems to be a good bottom-6 player for any NHL team. Kinda like Hansen/Burrows on the forecheck, plus he's not afraid of trying to create some offensive chances.

So... We're blaming the coach again, right?

Apparently MacT was the problem. Now Arniel is.

Um... Yeah.

Both are average coaches at best.

MacT was slightly better than Arniel though. He could at least motivate our prospects.

We've gone from Carlyle, to AV, to Arniel, to MacT, and back to Arniel The quality of our farm team's coaches has gotten worse and worse unfortunately. If the Canucks owned their farm team, they wouldn't have that problem.

Mactavish went to within one game of the cup with a pretty crappy team. Not many great coaches can even do that.

An effort level resulting in but 5 measly shots on goal through the first 40 minutes of play, after a blistering message on accountability the game before, screams of players quitting on their coach.

Not sure what to make of that type of "character".

Kassian.... Taylor Pyatt 3.0

Lies. He's more of a Steve Bernier. Hopefully his talent level goes up so he can become like a Taylor Pyatt.

What has he done since?

Some teams are just destined for stuff like that.

I would give credit to the hero players on that team like Roloson, Smyth, Horcoff and Pisani. After they beat Detroit, any coach could have coached that team to the finals.
