That first line you have there is a bunch of 13th forwards. The 2nd one is not that bad of a 4th line, but Schroeder is not fit for that role.

What do you mean by "you".

There shouldn't be a person who thinks that is a solid bottom six.

Just shows how little depth we have on the farm. Ottawa is decimated more than us except they actually have some young kids that can step in and contribute.

You said it. Our problem is we can't score because of too many grinders and checkers.

Were missing 2 top-6 forwards, and we lost our 3rd/4th line center.

Obviously our bottom 6 is going to be effected when guys like Higgins/Hansen are forced into a top-6 role.

heck look at our second line.
Raymond-Higgins-Hansen
A lot of heart with lack of skill. Easy to defend against 3 lines of dump and chase.

I wouldn't say Weise is failed. He hasn't played well in the last few, but was playing well before that.
Ebbett, well Ebbett's Ebbett.
Sestito I thought has played decent as a tough guy. Throwing some big hits, not giving up the puck often.
Lappy, well he hasn't been playing too well.
Schroeder isn't going to play well playing on the 4th line, we all know that.
Pinizotto has been playing pretty well in my opinion, I wouldn't call him a plug.

Scoring wise however, I can see why there isn't much production going on down there. They need to contribute more.

Ottawa has also been pretty terrible for the last 5 years...

In all fairness, on most nights that is pretty much our 3rd line (we've been missing Kesler/Booth for most of the year, and now Kassian)

Reason the bottom 6 looks so bad
- Kesler, Booth, Kassian are currently injured (3 of our top 9).
- We lost Malhotra for the year (that makes 4/9 top 9 players)

Nearly half of our top-9 is lost to injuries. IF theoretically everyone was healthy we would have gone into this season with

Sedin Sedin Burrows
Booth Kesler Schroeder
Hansen Malhotra Higgins
Weise Lapierre Kassian

(but of course we ran into injury trouble)

Dank-Hank-Burr
Booth-Kes-Kass
Higg- Lappy -Hansen
MayRay-Shroeder-Weisse-Pinner-Tostito-etc

Anyway we are missing basically one line of players and good ones not plugs yet you still think we don't have depth. We need a second or third line center from having one of the deepest teams in the league.

That is what is really sad. the missing players are Booth (enough said), Kelser (3 reconstructive surgeries in 2 years), kassian (years away from prime time), Malhotra (permanent eye damage). Yea, lots to look forward to come the playoffs.

Just imagine the injuries if we had kept only skill players. It's not always an easy solution.
