Lancaster Posted March 31, 2013 Share Posted March 31, 2013 sounds fine when you are far away. while N Korea can't win a war, any war with them will cost thousands or even millions of lives, depending if they use nukes or chemical weapons on S Korea or Japan. they should have defeated them back in the 50's when all they had was a rifle and people. China stepped in, and Truman didn't want a WWIII. So that was that, cooler heads prevailed. But situation now is that a war is not an option, unless you are willing to let millions die. kurtis Posted March 31, 2013 Share Posted March 31, 2013 I believe that North Korea should have been dealt with during the 90's, after the fall of the USSR, before China became a superpower and when US totally mopped the floor with Iraq during Desert Storm. Unfortunately, many lives will be lost if there's a conflict now. But even then, it'll still be less lives than in the future when Pyongyang can launch nukes onto Tokyo, Hawaii, etc. Short-term pain for long-term gain, but not just burying your head in the sand and hope somehow things will get better. Basically says that the last two lines of blood to inherit leadership don't have the same charisma as their founder. That they try to make up for those short comings through this war mongering. And that they watch massive movie collections and base much of what they see there on the outside world. Which explains a lot to me hell they invited rodman over since watching basketball. They also targeted Texas apparently which doesn't make a lot of sense until you factor in the movie aspect. Very twisted leadership indeed and just getting sicker.
