technically speaking, if his pinky is hurt, he is pretty much 100% injured, but he could be 100% ready for game 1.

Players Nikolaj Ehlers have been compared too by the fan base of the Vancouver Canucks.

So annoying trying figure out what's actually happening, all the while you have all these clowns running around acting like they know what's up when they really don't have a bloody clue.

You can bet either way there are gonna be twits going: "I told u guiz he wazn't/waz hert lolwaffles"

Sedins make more than Luongo.
Kesler makes 300,000 dollars less than Luongo,as does Edler.
Bieksa,Garrison and Hamhuis all make over $4.5m .Ballard makes $4.2 and Booth makes $4.25 million.
Blaming Luongo for a contract Gillis signed and saddled the team with is 100% Gillis' gig and "FAULT".

Rome-suspended -longest suspension in NHL playoff history for an open ice check.
Bieksa slashed with a two hander by Boychuk on the knee and played with pre-game injections.MCL damaged. No call.
Ehrhoff was injured in the San Jose series and was playing on pre-game injections.
Hamhuis was out of the finals with his hip injury.
Edler played with back problems and played the last 2,almost 3 games with two broken fingers on one hand from Peverly's slash. No call.
Salo-groin tear.
Alberts-undisclosed but playing injured.
That was just the Canucks defence. The Canucks and Luongo played with all of his top d men out or seriously injured.

Raymond-can opened and broke his back(surgery and life threatening injury). No call.
Kesler -groin tear and hip problems(both required surgery).
Higgins-broken foot.
Henrik Sedin-back problems from being continuously cross checked below the padding.
Samuelsson out since round 2.

The Bruins made the NHL look like a "garbage league" (as Mario Lenieux rightly pointed out all those years ago) and I have no idea how Luo and the Canucks got to a game 7 with what they were facing.Officiating completely sucked against violent opponents that were not penalised for their actions.

There is no way Luo or any Canuck should ever, ever be blamed for the game 7 loss.It is a miracle they made it there in the first place.Anybody blaming Luo or any Canuck for the finals loss sucks the big one-big time.

Sedins in 2011 earned a pay check of $6.1 mililion
Keslers pay check in 2011 $5 million
Luongo's pay check $10 million
Thomas's pay check in 2011 $6 million

Cap hits and pay checks are different. Imagine if that was Luongo's contract year and you become Luongo's agent, Now try to sell why you think your client deserve another $10 million check.. Good luck with that.

Yes Luongo played good in 3 of those games. But it was to be expected, he was the highest ^ paid goalie in the league. At the end of the playoffs he got out plays by a guy making 40% less.

He destroys youth/creativity, NEVER knows when to play the right 'tender-just one of these "old school" straight-ahead morons who deserves to be deeply embedded in some freekin cliff-side like a proper fossil that he resembles! I swear, these "changes" we've seen from him this season, are probably only resulting from Gillis ultimatums...For which he probably HATES guys like Ballard even more!

If money dictates performance than Ovechkin should win the rocket richard, art ross, and hart trophy every year and then follow it up with a cup win cause he has the highest cap hit in the entire NHL.

using salary/caphit is a pretty weak argument

it's reasonable when in order to get that high of a salary with that caphit, Gillis had to give Luongo a contract that is so bad teams won't take him for free.

Wouldn't it suck if he couldn't return until game 4 of the playoffs? That would be the Hawks killing our chances 2 years in a row.

As per the Canucks management he has a 'Body Injury' so that rules out most of the emotional injuries, what more do you want!

AV says Schneider is going to miss a game due to injury. In the pre-game before said game Tomlinson says Schneider is indeed injured.

Wow. What a brilliant insight.

Next up: Canucks are scheduled to play Edmonton on Saturday, and indeed play Edmonton on Saturday.

The Vancouver Canucks and goaltender Roberto Luongo are under a Sept. 13 deadline to agree to new contract terms. Luongo, who is attending Hockey Canada's summer orientation camp for 2010 Olympic hopefuls, said he will not negotiate once the NHL team's training camp begins at the University of British Columbia next month. He said he is unwilling to let his expiring contract become a daily distraction.

"We're trying to get it done before camp," Luongo said in Calgary yesterday. "If it doesn't happen before camp, I will not be negotiating during the season. I don't want to have that distraction."
Yesterday, Canucks general manager Mike Gillis said a contract extension is not finished, but he is confident the sides will arrive at terms over the next 18 days.
"I'd prefer that we have it wrapped up [by camp]" Gillis said. "We're all confident that we're moving in the right direction."
Gillis and Luongo denied reports yesterday that said the sides had agreed to a six-year pact worth $6.5-million (U.S.) a season. Luongo, 30, is entering the final year of his current deal, and is to earn $7.5-million.
http://www.theglobea...article1201775/

But you're right, Luongo didn't force Gillis to make a snap decision at all.

yes what an asshole Luongo is for not wanting to be a distraction to the team, look at the Subban situation in Montreal while he was doing that his own teammates were calling him out for it.

Gillis wouldn't have signed him to the deal if he didn't want to, Luongo didn't "force" him to do anything

Imagine how much more flexibility we would have with Luongo on a 6 year 6.5 million dollar contract.

Suddenly that looks alot more appealing to other teams.

By setting the deadline, Luongo forced Gillis to make a decision on whether to re-sign him or lose him for nothing sooner than Gillis would have liked.

But if Gillis had more time, he might not have signed him to such an idiotic contract just to get it done.
