njd.png TRADE REPORT!

Teams who are seeking a top six scoring winger or who may have missed out on a top six forward in free agency thus far the Devils are exploring options on forward James Neal. Interested teams feel free to inquire.

Also hearing Jared Spurgeon and Laurent Brossoit's names coming up, either could solidify a teams top four defense or back up goaltender needs. Its believed the Devils are looking to change up their top four defense.

Free Agent defenseman Dennis Wideman is said to be receiving the " Mike Vanderhoek picked last to play dodge ball in highschool" treatment. Though humbled by this acknowledgement he intends to play hockey this season and with the help of his new personal trainer Don Henderson he has been " hitting " the gym hard and expects to be in tip top shape come Training Camp.

SIGNING: The Montreal Canadiens have signed forward Maxim Mamin to a two year deal.

The Habs are very excited to have Jake and Maxim sign on the dotted line with us here in Montreal.

Jake has been a major target of ours in free agency for months after his breakout season last year where he played an integral role in the AHL and looked very good in the NHL during his call-up. We knew that we'd have some competition to secure the 23-year-old's services, and that his AAV may seem high relative to his actual contract, but we fully expect him to be very valuable in the CDCGML over the next four years thanks to his mix of offensive capabilities and toughness. If things go according to plan, expect Dotchin to line up in our top-4 alongside one of Brent Burns or Erik Johnson this season.

Maxim is a player that we were surprised to see available in free agency, and we jumped at the chance to sign the 22-year-old. We expect him to be a top-6 forward in North Dakota this year, but he'll have a chance to compete for a depth spot in Montreal at camp this fall. Regardless, adding more potential NHL depth in the organization was a goal of ours this summer, and we believe that Maxim provides that.

Next up is the backup goalie position, and though the Habs have missed out on a few options early there are still some irons in the fire in that regard.

All signings/trades/roster moves etc should be up to date.  Let me know if there is anything that doesn't look right.

I signed Chris Nell the NYR goaltender, not Chris Neil the old leathery hag
