No need to cherry pick my comment. Of course they won't, they'll be looking at underlying numbers same as anyone else, once they target in on players.

I meant more it depends on their plan of building. If they have a sheet of every defenceman available to them to choose from, Sbisa's name might not jump out at them. If they have a team-by-team style analysis, then likely he's the first guy they choose from the Canucks.

I feel like they'll have a better top 4 available to them than Sbisa, and a contract of his cap hit for a 5/6 defender will only be taken by them if they need to get to the cap floor.

At what point do fans accept that this org has to be in a full rebuild? Markstrom at 27 is a #1 quality tender. Bachman is capable of playing 20 games in backup. Miller will want more than 1 year and is not an option at more than that. Bringing Demko up to Van earlier than another year of AHL experience is reckless.

Use Miller's CAP space on other parts of the roster. Taking old contracts in exchange for draft picks or prospects should be a serious option.

We could send them say Subban back to replace the D prospect but then they'd need to add say a 3rd. We also have an awful lot of wingers coming if they'd prefer one back (in an even larger deal).

Stars need so much, i think there's big deal out their for them.

They need a #1 goalie, Top pairing LHD, Top 4 RHD, top 9 RW, 2x top 6 LW.  I can't believe how bad their roster looks
