    In my opinion of Travis Green based on last season , I think he would value Ferland, Pearson, and Roussel higher on the depth chart than Baertchi

    I can see the Oilers claiming Baertschi, they have no depth whatsoever, they would be the easiest roster in the league to protect going into the expansion draft. Take their best 6 players away and they aren’t even a good AHL team.

    I agree with the hero ball comment , take a knee slide for crying out loud. But what would happen if someone hit Brady that way ? Nevertheless, Buffalo should be used to disappointment by now.

    Maybe if Benning cleared up some bottom 6 mess by Christmas we could make a 4th line of : Rousell Beagle Sutter and make a useful 3rd line around Gaudette. I like the top 9 , bottom 3 concept.

    Flames will regret that Lucic for Neal trade , but Reider will make it all better.

    Vegas Knights are experts at using this loophole to get around roster limits on a temporary basis. Easy enough to make up a strained back or knee strain. Virtanen is probably going to spend the first 2 weeks of the season in the press box anyway, might as well loan him to Utica.

    Arizona plays a good trap when they have a lead. Pettersson was the only Canuck that could break through the neutral zone in the 3rd.

    I am not optimistic Tanev will exceed 60 games . But it might be Joulevi’s big break.

    Sometimes veteran players just go through the motions to get through training camp. Apart from a spirited effort against L.A., Pearson has played uninspired. Once the regular season starts will he bring it every game ? I think Green needs to keep an eye on how motivated Tanner plays . Maybe it might be good for a Baertchi/Pearson rotation on Horvats line.
