didn’t you just have a birthday, last year.? give those candles, a good blow job.

  6. Also, apologies for the wait, but signings and trades I'll hope to all have processed by Sunday.
  7. how many teams have 8.5m in cap space lying around? 3-4? how many of those have space (now + in the future) to use it on PK? Likely needs a creative solution
  8. I've read people come back close to their level of play after 8-9 months, so I wouldn't be surprised to see it take longer than the minimum.
  9. I was hoping he'd continue on his hot streak he ended the year with lol, I think he had 3.89 fp/g on the season? I did something similar with @Master Mind back in 2015, where I traded Klingberg+ for Girardi+, only difference is that part of the Girardi+ was Brayden Point (who I also traded away... )
  10. @Art Vandelay congratulations, you hosed me properly on our trade
  11. Scottish + English matrilineally Ukrainian + Belgian patrilineally
  12. sorry, meant to do that last night. if another commissioner doesn't get to it before I do, it'll be done tonight.
  13. I think there's only one team with a wealth of bad contracts like that, and they're not a contender.
  14. we talked about it when the IRL NHL's cap dropped form 83 to 81.5, people like the cap to match. I personally thought it would be the same this time around.
  15. We've thought about it. To answer @Sestito'sHandMadeVodka's question, we're considering following the IRL CBA's guidelines for getting teams under cap. On the complimentary buyout - if you take a look at a team like Carolina as an example, who's ~18m over cap, one buyout doesn't do much for them. Best case scenario is they buyout Subban, which brings them down to ~9m over cap, but are still forced to trade away their players, presumably to other teams who have bought out their own Mike Richards or Alex Petrovics. For relative peanuts. Again, these are all options we're looking at. It's been heavily discussed within the commissioner team and we felt it was time to ask the league.
  16. Quoting so we have this on a new page
  17. Yeah, IMO, it's more for the Petrovics, the Richardses, the Brouwers, etc that probably won't play again. Azzy's right, though. Buying out players and just taking the hit is an option.
  18. Again, this is why we're asking. If we get the general sense the league is opposed, then nothing will be done and people will have to continue to figure it out themselves.
  19. The Phoenicians were absolutely incredible and are probably one of if not my favourite early civilizations. Written alphabet, incredible sea-based trading network... I try to learn as much about them as I can. I'm thinking that if a place like Gobekli Tepe existed 10k-12k years ago, there must have been an intermediate stage between having a shrine and having an empire. Another cool thing about Central Asia (and I want to go to Uzbekistan+area for this reason) is that it was the between-hub for Sumeria and the Indus Valley civilization - pretty much the original silk road. It's been awhile since I've read up on it, but it basically allowed the two cultures to have influence on each other as both used the area frequently. Greek and Hindu pantheons are similar in the aspect of having three gods above the rest AFAIK, so it wouldn't surprise me if that was a result of it.
  20. There's also the Sumerian kings who, according to records, ruled for 1000s of years.
  21. Traces of cocaine and nicotine were found in Egyptian mummies. That's not supposed to be there - not at that point in time. https://www.ancient-origins.net/history/dealing-past-how-did-ancient-egyptians-get-nicotine-and-cocaine-009223 At this point in time, anything other than stating "traces of cocaine and nicotine were found in Egyptian mummies" is speculation, but it leads you to wonder how old the planet really is. And while it's not as ancient as Gobekli Tepe, not much is known about the Kingdom Period of Rome, or the Sea Peoples which raided the Egyptian coasts.
