Boeser always had "floating around" issues even before his injury. After the year he packed on the muscle weight he slowed down even more. My rational? Because the chance he performs as well or better then last year is high. Higher than a mauling injury to drop his worth down that's for sure. Even if he does get injured how does that effect his worth? He's young and a upcoming super star! injuries never stop a lot of players signing new contracts. That's a reach. Even Ferlund got a good deal after huge concussion the season before. A player like Petey would still land a huge payday if he was out half the season (hypothetically)

No it won't, if he has an injury it won't cost him much if any. He's young the talent is there. This is wishful thinking at its best.. lol

Yeah but Petey is closer to ufa than J Hughes was, I think that's a big part of this. If Vancouver doesn't make strides forward why would he sign long term now? It's a tall order to beat out Vegas, Edmonton, LA in our division.... Even Seattle! Then there's Dallas and Colorado.. that doesn't leave much room for error this season. It's not about waiting for just a better deal he's close to being able to sign with a better team if he doesn't like what he sees here this upcoming season! Sucks but it's a good possibility

Yeah same here depending on his season this year of course, but a way cheaper deal for him to play rough and tough and simple hockey

I would say no we shouldn't put Petey or Miller out as much or close to not at all. Either go down from blocking a shot and we're thinking down the middle. Suter and Blueger can take their places imo. Not worth the risk

Agreed, if he can bulk up and tie guys up and clear the net, he looks very calm and could be a decent defensive D.

I'd personally love to see Sid the kid lift the cup one more time, man watching the jr's that one Xmas time with my Grandad and aunts and uncles etc was magical. I'll never forget that tourney! Old enough to have a couple beers with my family was just an exciting tourney overall with a perfect ending.

100% Also wanna see Breeze up if he has a strong camp. I think he can be more useful than Rathbone at this point
