Canucks did get some good picks - the 9th overall at the 2018 Draft (Kravtsov) and a coveted 2nd in 2021 (Raty)

It almost felt like the trade Miller door closed when he suited up for last night's game.

Kuzmenko - Pettersson - Beauvillier Podkolzin - Miller - Kravtsov Mikheyev - Raty - Garland Hughes - Bear OEL - Hronek Dermott - Myers Team looks quite a bit different from a few years ago (assuming Boeser traded) and they'll add a very good player in June. It can't be a team filled with 23-year olds. Every good team needs some veterans and leadership. I'm still hoping they can trade Miller as well, free up that cap space. We'll see.

Petey and Hughes would walk if the Canucks tore it down. They're not rebuilding, never were. The team doesn't care about Draft picks - fans do. If the Canucks win a lottery spot, then heck ya, we can celebrate. They still have that 1st pick.

Well, never know. Maybe getting Miller into the lineup tonight is letting other GMs know he's healthy and he's playing. Other GMs might not like him playing if they wanted him tomorrow, risking injury. Perhaps Miller gets pulled from the lineup at the last minute. Dries fills in.

Thinking the Canucks PP could end up being one of the best, with a Hughes (PP1) and Hronek (PP2) one-two punch. Goals. Still need a RD for Quinn and a LD for Hronek.

I wish VAN would do more but, unlike CHI and ARI who are trying to get worse, the Canucks are trying to get better.

Hughes is happy, takes some of the load off him. This is about next season. My guess is Reinbacher or Simashev will not turn out better than Hronek. This is a young team, exciting times ahead
