Same 'hurt crowd that cried when Boudreau was let go, back attacking the owner and manager because they didn't do what they wanted. "Waaah, I wanted Danielson!" Give it some time, Hronek is a good player and it might work out long term. He's also out injured right now, so he won't help the Canucks win games. These moves are about assembling the team for next year.

If they tear it down, Petey and Hughes are gone. Canucks need to stay competitive and Simashev or Heidt or whoever is not going to help them. Maybe if ever. Canucks got better by adding Hronek and it's going to help them now and in the future. They've added some really good young promising pieces and they'll add at least one more with their 1st this year.

Some of the negativity here is hilarious. Like Allvin said, they're adding to their young core. Not sure about anyone else, but I don't want the Canucks to suck forever just so they have lots of Draft picks. Look at the Draft picks in previous years. Is Artyom Manukyan really going to bust onto the NHL scene and help the Canucks? Even high drafted players like Virtanen and Juilevi didn't guarantee a good, successful NHL player. Pettersson Beauvillier Kuzmenko Podkolzin Mikheyev Kravtsov Raty Hughes Hronek Bear Demko/Silovs

Canucks have a legit Top 4 RD, finally And they still have 6 picks in the first 4 rounds They're still going to make some moves, maybe they bring in more picks. Canucks filled a positional need with Hronek. The NYI 1st was not going to get VAN into the Top 10. Some people acting like VAN gave away a Bedard Ticket

Well, okay, trying to be rational. The Canucks were probably going to draft a D with the NYI 1st and maybe even with the 2nd. Say they took Reinbacher and Price. Cool. A few years down the road, maybe there's been a setback in their development, or they're no longer projecting as Top 4 D. Now we're just hoping they can make the NHL/team one day. Woo reminds me of this. In Hronek they get a very good, NHL proven Top 4 RD and he's only 25. What VAN has needed for a long time. The Canucks aren't done yet either, I don't think. Maybe they recoup that 2nd somehow. The 1st now becomes very important, they can't miss with that pick.

This album changed my life. I remember the day I first heard it. So good.

That's what I was wondering too, or...are they preparing to bring back the (updated) Skate jersey permanently?

Michkov must be one hellava player, I'm seeing he's ranked pretty much everywhere between 2 and 5. Usually some "experts" have a player lower down for whatever reason, but Michkov is consistently getting respect from all of them. Makes me nervous to pin this ever-so-important 1st pick on a small Russian winger, but if he's that good and projects to come to NA and be a #1RW in 2-3 years, then maybe it's worth it.

(Rumour) 4 teams interested in J.T. Miller
Nucker 67 replied to combover's topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
Wouldn't that be wild if WAS traded for Miller, out of nowhere. to WAS - Miller (10% = $800K starting next season) + ? to VAN - Strome, McMichael and Iorio -

Combining the 4 TDL trades so far, into one big trade: To NYI, NYR, BUF, TOR - Horvat, Lockwood, Stillman, Schenn and 7th (2026) to VAN - Beauvillier, Raty, Kravtsov, Bloom, 1st (2023) and 3rd (2023) Really good "trade" for VAN -
Who should VAN take with the two 1sts rounders if these options are available? 1. (RW) Michkov and (LD) Simashev 2. (LW) Benson and (RD) Reinbacher I'd be hoping for option 2, which would also help with VAN's depth chart, filling in positions that are lacking.
-
That's very possible. Did I read correctly that Michkov is 148 lbs? Top 3 is a dream. Time will tell. If VAN is picking 5/6, and Michkov is there, difficult to pass on him, but Cole Caufield also fell due to his size. To think Caufield is 25 lbs heavier than Michkov. Who knows, maybe Michkov falls as well. If Benson, Smith or Yager are there at 5/6, then I hope VAN takes one of them.

[Rumour] Canucks getting calls on Thatcher Demko

LA is a contender. I can't imagine they're going to try and win with Korpisalo, who is not very good and going to become UFA. -

So, LA traded Quick for Korpisalo, and Kings fans are pissed. He's not having a great year, hasn't been that good for 3+ years really. Do you think it's possible that the Kings aren't done? to LA - Demko to VAN - Korpisalo, Turcotte and Grans Not keen on a Korpisalo/Silovs tandem moving forward though, but Korp is a UFA after this season. What would VAN do for goaltending next season? VAN signs UFA Tristan Jarry (PIT) in the off season. -

Go with no captain for the next season as well. Make Hughes captain when he turns 25, the start of the 2024/25 season. I don't think he'll bolt if he's captain, and he would make a good one. -
Looking at MyNHLDraft: Gabe Perreault Ht/Wt: 5'10"/154 lbsPosition: LW/RWTeam: U18 NTDP I'm assuming maybe his size? But it looks like he may have added some weight (Tankathon) Could be a dark horse.
