Yes, this reality has been gnawing at me and I'm sure many others, including BB. It will be a great test to see what the team does despite the adversity. I mean, it's your home rink, show the world it's not a fun place for the opposition. GCG

It's perplexing. They are simply playing for their new coach. We need this more and should dominate in the drive and intensity department. The Nucks will slay the new coach honeymoon dragon in front of Burr and start ramping up the home record. Being easy to play against at home stops tonight and starts with our Captain setting the example.

Our home record needs some help. It starts now. A loss for the Habs will make my wife sad but a win for the Nucks is worth the rath. GCG

frak TO, I'll be watching the game live from Quebec, as usual, the 22h30 starts are just perfect. You can cap off the evening with some Nuckle hockey. Scotch and fewer distractions. GCG

He does seem a little off right now. His interview on Saturday was telling. He seemed preoccupied at best and/or dejected. Of course the media was being negative as usual, which doesn't help for a Captain who must feel partly responsible for the team's poor showing at the start of the season. I'm less concerned about his point totals, given the defensive role he has almost every game. He's one of the reasons why the team rocks insofar as GA. I truly hope he still maintains great respect from the room and to a lessor extent with the circus of officials, management, and media. If not, a trade would seem the the only option. Frankly, they should all be leaders. For example, I love how Motte carries himself on and off the ice and I love Miller's open emotion and fiery nature. That said, I have no idea who would make the best Captain. I don't even think about it because I have no major beef with our current Captain. Sure I would like to see more physical aggression but he's still young and already ahead of Henrik and other recent captains in that category. Since BB, this Team is making me proud to be a forever Canuck.

Time for a new thread. This one has almost descended beyond repair. I'm confident Bo will be a hoarse and a beast for us in the play-offs. This will be fun.

This is no surprise, other teams know how deadly the laffs PP is so use great caution whereas they know about the poor PP the nucks have so don't really care and goon up to throw the Nucks off their game. It makes perfect sense.

Probably more to do with the soft play vs. officiating. Team is not wired to be tough.

Yes, you are correct about they hippocracy Deb, I'm at a point where I would just keep gooning until the league is exposed for its double standard, instead of backing away. Let the punishment come. But that was back in 2014 when we were supposed to be rebuilding. I didn't care about the play-off back then.

So not much has changed with this corrupt league, makes being a fan that much harder. JR has a tough job. Let's add more muscle and win despite the league.

I'd like to see more respect commanded from on-ice play. Need to be tougher and harder to play against. I like what I see in spurts. Hoping BB can get this more consistently.

Thanks for the reminder. Yes that clip showed a pretty egregious penalty. What I don't recall is whether the pocketed whistles were one sided in favour of NYR, or if we got away with similar shenanigans. That was a weird time for me so I wasn't as tuned into Nucks hockey.

Perhaps my memory is failing but I don't recall anything to unfair about that series--especially compared to 2011. What's the lingering beef with 94?
