  1. This is what I find with some of these "realistic/Devil advocate" posters on here, or other places - they speak as though it's absolute. Which I find quite ridiculous.
  2. The list goes on and on. Iggy, Linden, Dionne, etc. Miller has what it takes to win. He also has Bo, Petey, Podkolzin, Hughes, and Demko. And more. I look forward to this year.
  3. I agree Arizona won't trade him for scraps, but I wouldn't trade Podkolzin one for one.
  4. That ain't happening. Edit: I wouldn't trade Podkolzin straight up.
  5. No. I was a damn good player in my day who knew how to light up the barn! Haha!
  6. So, forget about dumping the contracts. Then the deal is solid. I just want to stop giving up too many 1st round picks.
  7. So you're saying that a top 10 scorer in the top league in the world, who's hitting his prime, isn't worth 8 mil a year? You must be joking, right?
  8. This is a fantastic signing. And last year wasn't even his contract year. He's a player you win with. I wonder what JD Burke has to say about this? Hahaha!
  9. I do agree with you. Ultimately, Jake is responsible for his choices, actions. But there are people on this board who continually/repeatedly rip on him or others. The point is, he's a human being just like us all. The real immaturity stems from constantly digging in, instead of letting it go.
  10. And you, of course, have it all figured out too. The bottom line is, only time will tell. What I find absolutely ridiculous is when people like you and Heffy talk in absolutes. Lmfao.
  11. Geez, you got it all figured out. Haha! Apply now for any NHL GM spot.
  12. And I believe that after next season, Podkolzin will move up near the top of that list.
  13. If he ends up being consistent moving forward, solid signing. Like you said, huge risk.
  14. Miller, Horvat, Pettersson, Hughes and Demko are the foundation that you build upon and potentially win championships with. Add in Podkolzin, and let's see what develops this year, and we have a very good group of players who can take that next step forward.
  15. I personally like Podz on a line with Petey because he brings that intimidating aspect, which deters opponents from taking cheap shots. That in itself is awesome because he just turned 21 in June. Wait until this kid gets a few years under his belt.
  16. We'll see. It depends on who he plays with on a regular basis. Weren't Petey, Podkolzin and Hoglander developing into a solid line?
