A nod to the lovely monsoon rain showers falling in Q-Town this evening! Finally!!

Both my vaccinations were with Moderna. The first one, no reaction at all save a sore arm for about 36 hours. Second vax was on the afternoon of the 8th. Thought I was skating through again but....sore arm less than 6 hours later... pre-loaded with Gravol Ginger as some folks had reported a singular purge event before nausea faded and I HATE throwing up....so no nausea really to speak of. Was awake most of the night weirdly hot and cold and every time I closed my eyes it's like a huge wave was hitting the side of the boat I was in. Sleep deprivation finally overrode it. I was so brain fogged Friday and Saturday that I was having trouble using a Keurig! (Oh, you mean coffee goes in the pod thingy? Who knew? } Totally fatigued and spent the day on the couch, sore arm with a weird bruise NOT at the injection site. Yesterday, not so fatigued, brain fog lifting, arm tender but not sore...BUT I have this bizarre red, raised,hot, puffy, sore patch that was getting bigger...again, not at injection site but more over my bicep. Turns out, I'm one of the lucky 2/1000 people who get COVID arm after the 2nd Moderna vaccine. Nothing sinister and it goes away within days. It's a hyperactive immune response, apparently. I had nothing with the first shot but this time....COVID Arm which disappoints me greatly because I thought at the very LEAST, my left arm should have gained some sort of super power! Nope... Today, no brain fog, no fatigue, arm not so red or swollen... pretty much back to normal....coffee making skills have improved 100%....and BONUS... I am NOT magnetized so do not stick to the fridge each time I walk by it! Happy Double Vaxxing, my fellow CDCers!

Second vax in.yesterday afternoon. Moderna again which suited me fine to have the 2nd dose match the first. My arm/shoulder is more sore this time around...didn't sleep very well last night...and ohhh, the brain fog this morning (which could also be sleep-deprivation and allergies as the smoke has really dropped in on us here and ash is falling out of the sky on the West Side) I seem to, *knocks on wood*, have missed the single stomach purge event that some had though it was mostly those who got a mixed pair of vaccines. There is a certain sense of relief that comes with this second dose, ain't gonna lie.....but we're not done or out of the woods yet. Go, Go, Wild and Wacky Antibody Production!
