    How the times have changed, sad.  I still and will always blame Gillis for not trading Schneider after the 2011 season....

      The Sedins with Carter and Kesler on the powerplay would've been something

      LA made the deal for him that year and we know what happened.  And now he has 2 cups and is their best player.  I would argue Carter has probably gotten better since then.  Point is Gillis didn't make any moves to try get back to the SCF and rather let players walk.

      I blame Gillis for his cap circumvention move and offer an insane contract to Luongo. Where if he simply offered a 5-6 year deal at $5.5 to $6 million. We could have moved Luongo and gotten better return. 

      He also made a panic move in trading Hodgson, instead of letting the other GM's know he was up for grabs. We probably would have had a better offer than Kassian. 

       

      People think Benning is bad. Gillis seems like he didn't really have a plan. But at least he got us Horvat and Hutton.
