  1. Saw quick highlights but yeh off night for him with those goals for sure. No big deal, gotta win these types of games throughout the season too.
  2. Difference is cutting and not. Nate Diaz fights at 155 too and Conor was already training to fight at 155 and really that's where he should be. So really, both were fighting above. Making 145 is tough on Conor's body as his coach has said. If the fight was at 155, you think that outcome changes? Weight plays a bigger impact for wrestlers and how Diaz won really had nothing to do with weight. And say both were at 155 come weigh ins, during the actual fight, they would probably both be the same weight as they were this fight...
  3. Brock Lesnar had to always cut though, because he is a freakin beast!
  4. Watching show called "Buying The View" of rich real estate and there was a guy named Blair who said he played for the Oilers and Canucks...who is this???

The only Blair i knew from the nhl were Blair Jones and Blair Betts.  Didn't even know we signed Jones lol

they signed jones last summer for his supposed toughness

  5. Most heavyweights fight at what they walk around and I heard Edgar does doesn't cut much either. There are some but yeah most do cut. But cutting is tough on the fighters bodies, Johny Hendricks had to pull out of a fight because he got so sick during the cut. It is a huge positive if a fighter doesn't have to cut much weight for a fight.
  6. No he wasn't. He was fighting for the Lightweight belt at 155 lbs against Rafael Dos Anjos and Nate Diaz also fights at 155. So both of them fought above their normal weight. And you really think if it was at 155 the outcome would've really changed? Was weight really the winning factor for Nate or was it his reach, boxing, and ground game? Conor's has almost zero ground game. Conor is a big 145 fighter and even his coach said after the Aldo fight that weight cut is too strenuous on him and he might not want him doing it again.
  7. You think they had to put weight on, or rather just didn't have to cut any? Prime examples of a lot fans not really knowing how it works...
  8. Conor didn't have to cut any weight and was eating steaks for dinner just a few days before the weigh ins. Conor fought at what he walks around at. He has such a tough weight cut for 145 and has the size and reach advantage on almost all those guys. Even at 155 Diaz would've still won. Weight wasn't a issue for Conor, Diaz's reach, boxing, toughness and ground game were the issues. The whole weight excuse for Conor is bs and most of the fair weather don't have a clue about it.
  9. But that's just how it is though...Nick Diaz who isn't the greatest, did beat McGregor with short notice. Says more about McGregor than Diaz.
  10. Mendes almost beat him with half a training camp. Full camp, Conor train would've been stopped right there.
  11. The reach, size advantage and bjj was gonna be problem just like I thought...
  12. Well his boxing is pretty good too. For me it's gonna be how Diaz deals with Conor's kicks and how Conor deals with Diaz's reach.
  13. Nate has high level bjj, he would have the advantage on the ground. Don't think Connor wants it to go there. Nate will have the reach advantage standing but he doesn't throw kicks like Connor can. Will be interesting for sure.
  14. Nate is a heavy underdog in this fight. I can see him pulling it out though, wouldn't surprise me at all
  15. Strombone ‏@strombone1 7m7 minutes ago Is there a team Canada over 35 I can sign up for anywhere?Kidding aside those r 3 great and well deserving goalies. Canada in great hands
  16. He would get the loss since the game winning was scored on him. Montoya got with a high shot early in the game I think.
  17. Can't wait to see Shink make our team next year!!....oh wait

not this one....don't know much about either player, but benning seems to...in 5 years we can judge if the trade was good or not...

  18. I think Charlotte is pretty good as a heel. She might not be great on the mic, but far from bad.
  19. I remember not long ago dreaming of Shink-Horvat-Kassian being the modern day WCE....IT WAS ALL A DREAM!!
