  1. @King Heffy @lmm@The Lock I prefer to think in what is available in reality. The fact this player has noted interest in playing in Vancouver checks that square. anything else on these boards , is fantasy . A player like this would benefit this team. even short term , for the remainder of this season.. not hurt it. think of it as a PTO. It’s low risk. it’s a real opportunity. but most of you don’t get that, you seem to be caught up in some kind of self induced hate spurred on by gutless accelerated rumours. I hope JR sees this opportunity for what it is. a good one.
  2. Good luck. the term “good luck” defines what is not real , from what is real. I prefer to work in reality.
  3. So a contract with Kane for the remainder of this season for less than 1m dosent work for you? it’s a skilled tested question.. be careful.
  4. Milstein has clients he would prefer to keep than lose them over mistrust and lying about. I don’t think any “agenda” other than doing and speaking about what is right would be good for his rep. https://puckpedia.com/agent/daniel-milstein Money.. far more than the 3.5 last week. or possibility of a single year contract here.
  5. So would @King Heffy @canuck73_3 and others it seems. I prefer to see players with the abilities to take us for long runs into playoffs.. There’s been too many ghosts on this team since 2011. Sutter / Ferland included.
  6. We don’t have that information yet. Kanes agent has said otherwise.
  7. They were on protocol with symptoms. everyone is dealing with it everywhere Hef.. your on Earth right?
  8. This is the middle ground , common sense, low risk reason behind all of my input here. Kane is low risk with the remainder of the season,. As he was last week if traded for.. this week he is possibly a UFA ,. And could possibly be signed to a single year,. With first options to extend. it’s worth exploring. If this Team, and I’m saying all Canuck players can’t find the way to play with this player, for the remainder of the season then it is a weak room. The Barracudas embraced and have enjoyed Kane in their ranks.
  9. Im not changing the debate. would you rather have a high salary player on your team who produced roughly a point per game , who could help to get you cup contention, who was a “bad boy” with NO criminal convictions on your team. (Kane) ..Or a high salary player (same contract) on your team, who produced nothing in a game, gave gutless efforts, was a ghost,. But a really nice guy? (Player Name)
  10. I guess if we look at this from the other end of the spectrum,. Where you have a big salary player on your team , who contributed nothing for points, was a ghost in games,. but no off ice issues .. is it better for the team?
  11. It’s all going through it’s due process at this point.. but trading for him may not be an issue anymore, certainly the NHL has terminated the contract? Or are they not announcing that yet ? all to unfold.
  12. no, it’s just getting to the fun part where Kane signs in Vancouver for 1m for the season, then resigns with us.. while he deposits 24 million in his account from the Sharks
  13. How about a coach ? Boughgner quoting a conversation with Maurice.
  14. “Kane is a key player for Winnipeg with 10 goals and 12 assists so far this season. Although his absence may have contributed to the 5-2 loss that night against the Canucks, his lack of accountability and straight forward display of disrespect that day would not be tolerated by the coaches or the team itself.” who ever threw Kanes clothes into the shower took it too far. Management should have dealt with the issue themselves. who ever threw Kanes clothes into the shower should have been reprimanded as well. That is a weak room not caused by Kane, but a weak, out of control room inflicting itself on him. Sitting one of your best points getters over a Dress code violation is shooting your self in the foot , and screaming Kane did it. The best way to handle A dress code violation , is inviting the the player to a dinner management meeting where the incident is discussed,. And HE pays for dinner. That scenario was handled terribly wrong. … and management, and immaturity within the room quantified it. my opinion, I’m sticking to it. If that was the incident ( a minor dress code) that moved a powerful point per game player,. It says more negatively of that org. than the player. Lots of elite athletes play with swagger and ego ,. It’s part of how they operate as athletes.. it’s how you play with them that counts,. You’ve got to have and make fun with it all, humour, good humour “grounds” them and it creates positive effects.
  15. This all started back in Aug-Sept.. Just because he is not in office, someone is pulling strings.. if it isn’t Wilson, who is it? San Jose Sharks general manager Doug Wilson will take a temporary medical leave from his day-to-day activities, the organization announced on Friday. Assistant GM Joe Will will takeover on an interim basis.Nov 26, 2021 https://www.tsn.ca › san-jose-sharks-... San Jose Sharks GM Doug Wilson taking temporary medical leave - TSN.ca
  16. He knew jerked on the fake news of Kane gambling against his own team.. Wilson looks like an idiot after the NHL cleared Kane of betting against his own team. Wilson created the distrust issue.. And is doing everything he can to get rid of the player, and the problem he created as GM.
  17. The thing is we all read “journalists” reports that state “several players” are not happy or have said something. but if “several” players can’t have the balls to speak out and be quoted, where is this source? Where is the direct quote? it happens in this city , most recently journalists having Horvat and Miller in a power struggle.. When as if turns out, nobody was having fun at the rink any more in a “systems is everything “ approach to the game by Coaching staff. Words , “quoted”. Speaks volumes, and better than a finger flipping finger too. Show the quotes / roll the tape from unhappy players , that’s what’s needed . Players, publicly holding a player accountable would help their situation more than hurt it. This shows a weak room and a knee jerk reacting GM in San Jose to me. starting with both Wilson and then their 11m dollar man , the Captain Morgan of Hockey Karlsson.
  18. Kane has been doing work regarding off ice issues. @JM_ Evander Kane details gambling problem, denies betting on his own games Thomas Williams September 17, 2021·3 min read In this article: Read more on this topic Evander Kane Canadian ice hockey player Sharks forward Evander Kane recently opened up about his gambling issues while strongly denying recent accusations made by his estranged wife Anna. (Getty) The Evander Kane summer saga continues and the latest installment is very public. Kane, 30, appeared on ESPN’s “Outside The Lines” with Linda Cohn to discuss a multitude of topics, all centered around his off-ice issues and the accusations made by his estranged wife Anna. ADVERTISEMENT "It's unfortunate that that transpired, it's unfortunate that those allegations — false allegations — were made," the San Jose Sharksforward said. In July, the 30-year-old was accused by Anna of betting on his own hockey games and underperforming purposefully for financial benefit, leading to an NHL investigation, which is set to be wrapped up before the 2021-22 season begins. "Obviously, when [the allegations] happened, I understood the magnitude of them immediately, not knowing what was going to happen next. But confident, because I know that's not true. I knew none of what she was saying was true," Kane told ESPN. "I was very confident, comfortable with where I was, knowing that I was gonna be exonerated and am going to be exonerated of those allegations." Ad: 0:11 0:14 Kane has suffered from an addiction to gambling for a number of years and his issues became quite public recently, as he filed for bankruptcy in January and listed $1.5 million in gambling debts. When asked by Cohn whether he still gambles or has gambled on an NHL game, Kane said he does not and has never. "I had a gambling problem, and when you have a gambling problem — just like a drinking problem or a drug problem — sometimes you can't control your actions," said Kane. "I think probably the worst thing that ever happened to me was winning big, because you think you can do it again. When you're an athlete, the competitive juices are flowing. And then when you lose, it bothers you even more and you want to go back...you just keep digging a deeper hole. But at the end of the day, it's something that I went through and I'm looking forward to moving on from it." If any NHL player has an issue with gambling, there is a player assistance program provided and a 24-hour hotline, allowing players to receive counselling on any issue. As Kane is set to begin his 13th NHL season and fifth in San Jose, his name is still involved in trade rumours and reports of disgruntled Sharks players wanting him out. "I think it's easy to point the finger at me. I think it's easy to try to make me the scapegoat because of some of my personal issues that are playing out in the public, and point to that," Kane said. "I think it's an easy cop-out. At the same time, I don't necessarily know or believe that that's true." Through his NHL 769 games split between three organizations, Kane has scored 264 goals and 506 points.
  19. Wow.. Marchand throws chump change in the hat in Vancouver and you love the guy !? I don’t know how much you research any threads or stories that come over these boards Hef ,. But Kane has usually always been involved with Charitys.. even in Vancouver . there’s lots of good information out there if you want search for it.. but to some, a picture of finger flipping is a major headline, worth a thousand angry words. when really it was a joke between teamates. as from a yahoo report quoted from the photographer: Where the heck did this photo come from? It was taken on Oct. 28, 2014, as the Jets left the locker room at Nassau Coliseum to take on the New York Islanders. Trevor Hagan, who snapped it, is a freelance photographer that was on a rare road assignment with the Winnipeg Free Press. What’s interesting about the image – well, one of many things – is that it wasn’t included in the photo gallery from the game. It only surfaced last week, when the trade went down. Editors at the Free Press were searching for a photo that had both players in it, and the archived image came up. They opted to use it in a “Key of Bart” music parody video about the trade and then posted it to Instagram. From that point on, it went viral and has become the definitive photo of the players’ falling out. Which is something that admittedly makes Hagan feel uncomfortable, because the context of the image was lighthearted. Kane was injured for the Islanders game. Hagan said he was riding an exercise bike as the Jets began filing through the dressing room hallway to the ice. He got off the bike and stood by rookie goalie Michael Hutchinson to fist-bump the players they hit the ice. Last in line? Byfuglien. Kane reached out. Buff “basically pretends that Kane wasn’t there,” said Hagan. He keeps walking, Kane gives him a playful shove and Byfuglien then gives him the finger. “He then nearly crushed me against a wall,” said Hagan of Byfuglien. “His jersey was about an inch from my lens.” Hagan said the entire sequence was “all in good spirits” and that there was nothing “malicious” behind Byfuglien’s actions. “Kane was supporting the guys headed to the ice. He had a good laugh. Hutchinson had a good laugh. And it was just Buff being Buff. He’s the type that jokes around with the players and the fans.” Hagan, a freelancer for over five years with the Free Press, said the context of the photo presented a challenge to the editors when they discovered it and wanted to use it to illustrate the relationship between the players.
  20. I beleive he was recey getting help JM, he quoted it to a journalist not too long ago, admitting he has had a gambling addiction. if I can find the article I will post and attach your name to it.
