Well I guess if our dressing room and roster players were weak , Jake would have effected them. It’s not a weak room,. add Boudreau and Rutherford to that.. I see more strength than ever. This is a low risk move yo get a high point player at a fraction of the cost of what he is worth. His game is undiminished. Roughly .88 pts per game last season. and 8 points in 5 games in the AHL right now. This club dearly needs a true power forward. to acquire one other than Kane will cost you 7m + a high pick , minimum. acquiring this player at 3.5 m and giving up very little is a low risk move. If it dosent work you share the buyout cost of the burden with SJ.

Kane is in Covid protocol,. He and 2 others tested positive on the AHL barracudas (10 days) from what I’ve read he had a rough go of it for a week but is feeling better and training again, not far from returning. His divorce case continues on Jan 18th, he was given custody of his child the last time he was in court, and his wife was ordered to stay off social media because of lies she was perpetrating.. a lot of those believed by posters here. It seems the Oilers are interested in him. Im sure all of those who don’t want him on their team will be much happier booing and hissing him as he helps his team win.

Months? He just finished his 21 game suspension on Nov 30 th.. and on Dec 22 tested positive for Covid and placed in 10 day isolation protocol with 2 other players on his club. He also has a 3 team trade list that must be honoured.. so he actually has a say in where he will and won’t go. The Sharks F’d up.. should have kept it tight and showcased him. Dosent mean he’s not making money for the next 3 years.. and it’s seems in the very least SJ will eat at least 50% of what they retain, possibly even more now in what they take back, if they get anything back.

Although if they were wise, they would have stuck to their guns with same protocols last year,. Knowing what the budget would be and realizing what they should do regarding ticket sales,. Vs what they could do. It sounds as though the hotels did not offer a bubble / controled atmosphere for the players.. that should in the very least have been expected. Apparently It was nothing like that.. weddings, restaurants, barber shops, the Hotels were open to the public. That should have been assured and stipulated when those accommodations were held,.
