Sometimes I think this franchise has historically had a “Google eyed” approach to its players, and hanging on to players and personnel far to long.. the competition in the east , in my opinion, is fierce, and the teams evolve to keep a high level, rather than patronize it’s fans with favourites. I think we’ve become complacent as fans only recognizing that Edmonton.. Calgary.. LA, and so on, are our direct competition to win a cup. When in fact, they are only half the journey. Fan Favourites here last longer than they should, usually bringing little assets immediately to run with to further this team, or perch us for a future in 2 years with a blue chip pick. I do beleive Benning was establishing a format before he left,. I’m sure, almost absolutely, that it will continue through with Rutherford. If there were mistakes made that can be corrected, the Tryamkin story is one of those. I hope Rutherford and Clancy get a good grasp of this player and talk with him while we still have him on paper. His Buy out of his KHL contract would be roughly 700k usd or less. Im sure it could be added as a signing bonus for a year on a 2-3 year term. He needs to be making more than he would at home after cost of living is taken into account. presently in the 1.2m usd range in the KHL I think a 2.5 - 3 m usd contract for 2 years would set him up perfectly to be happy and make that transition. Id hate to see him on another club in the NHL.… but I’d still be a fan of the player, he was right to do what he did.

… to add this franchise has waited too long at times to move on opportunities, and it dosent matter what management group it has been. .. or buying or selling a player.. but I can see more and more that they’ve probably not wanted to hurt the feelings of the popular, charitable fan base that feeds its existence. Id like to see Kane come here just for that experience alone,. Watch the forum light up , and burn down in a single day. Teams that play on the edge and can physically stand up to the rigours of playoff hockey the longest, wins cups. Ever wonder why we haven’t.. close dosent count. We’ve lost.. but I’m sure it was a nice friendly atmosphere in the dressing room , that’s all that matters.

Some people don’t get it,. It tells more about Buffs sense of humour and style than Kanes. but if it was Kane upping the finger.. he’d be suspended, shamed on HNIC, and the league for misconduct.

We need to clear 3.5 to bring Kane in,. that shouldn’t disrupt too much.. and before the trade deadline I think we have to move one of Boeser or Pearson. but by adding the possibility of .75 ppg to any line could keep us playing hotter than hell offensively for the rest of the season. Boudreau could easily get a good grasp of any possible flags. I see Kane at the same point in life as Z Kassian.. time to leave the garbage alone and stop attracting the flies that come with it. i certainly think Kane would be very grateful to be playing in his home city for 3 years after being playing away for 12 years. Sometime you have to find the bottom of the hole to find your way out.

Kanes team the SJ Sharks is just playing .500 hockey without him,. With him they were better. He is a 7m dollar player .. where in this league are you going to find that type of output for 3.5m , without it costing more at some point. 3 seasons at 3.5 , when we are already in a position of moving Boeser or Pearson at 7 m. Makes too much sense. Show me the documented off ice issues that have not been thrown out of a court of law that comes from a credible source with witnesses that have no conflicting relationship in any matter. Youve bought into hype.. heading into the locker room of cancer next I suppose.??

The Sharks Management- D Wilson did themselves no favour by publicly coming out about any unhappiness they had with Kane. It may be they bought into some of the neg-hype regarding this player , other than yes, not being honest about his Vaccination card and protocols for the league or team. The League, suspended him heavily,. And money was lost by the player. … but in the perfect “coded” world of player and team, the Team did not have to announce any thing other than they will be looking at the situation after the players suspension is served. Thus, he could be showcased in the NHL on the Sharks for a better deal, than the one they have publicly said they’ll retain 50% to move him. No one owes the Sharks a first rounder or 2nd rounder for that matter.. they’ve trashed the player, and they should eat it because of it. I don’t think Kane is to happy with them either. Kane has a 3 team NTC . . Im sure he’ll hold them to it, and only give the 3 choices. we know Vancouver is on that list, his agent said he would be talking to the Canucks.. but that was just before the “house” got cleared here. I do hope JR and staff give it some wise thought, Derek Clancy , JR’s assistant, scouted Kane heavily before he was traded to SJ as a court for the Pens. Kane at 50% is a steal for a 50 pt power forward. maybe it becomes less in a third party move as speculated. But I think the offset might be try to move a high cap salary from us.. and that’s not going to be popular with our fan base,. But something that has to happen now or later.

@Angry Goose. @PhillipBlunt @JM_ i wonder how much of this last chapter isn’t a failing marriage or a wife who truly has issues. Weve all had matters of the heart that can turn our worlds upside down, and then rip them apart.. sounds like Kane is holding it together the best he can right now and the Courts see fit for him to have full custody of his child until further notice. It will be interesting to see how his divorce case unfolds..

That depends on what you beleive, and what you don’t beleive,. when really it’s all about facts, and truths, and court cases thrown out on that basis. That’s the funny thing about truth, it’s not based on lies or false hoods, or he said she said. Truth is investigated. Lies are not.

We know Kane has a 3 team trade clause in his contract. We know his agent openly stated he would be contacting the Canucks…. But that was mere days before the management change in Vancouver.. not one journalist in this town with access to Canuck management has asked the new management about this possibility.. nothing ceases to amaze me in regards to the lame reporting we get in this city. Regardless of the answer,. Not one local journalist has had the kohuunutz to ask JR, Stan Smyl, or re-address this players agent. Macintyre , step up man!!
