  1. I think Granny is 3rd line guy that can step up into the top 6 if need be. A good versatile player
  2. Jannik Hansen. What a player. Worked his tail off to make it to the NHL. I am going to miss him. Wish him all the best! Its bitter sweet, but thats the business side of the NHL.

Gonna leave this here as a way to say goodbye. Sheesh, what a pass.

  3. I don't disagree 1. Julio 2. AB 3. AJ Green 4. OBJ 5. Hopkins
  4. IDK about that. Seattle's interior OL (Glow, Britt, Ifedi) was decent in the run game. The edges were really bad. And AP is the best RB of our generation so there is always a possibility
  5. Thank you Alex Burrows!

  6. In my opinion Juju actually pretty underrated in this year's draft. For all talk there has been about Corey Davis or Mike Williams, people tend to forget just how good Juju is. He has been double teamed since his freshman year and still has 3k receiving yards in his career. Hell, he played 4 games in his sophomore season with a CAST on his hand. The guy is a battler and a team first player. EDIT: Darrelle Revis though.
  7. Darreus Rogers as a late round pick would be the ideal possession receiver. He does not drop passes. Not insanely athletic but he gets good seperation and runs really good routes.
  8. I like that move too. He was a safety in college, played a role similar to what Polamalu did in Pittsburgh. He had a fantastic Jr. year. They didn't throw to his side his senior year (you can get away with that when you play against SJSU lol). I really like what he brings to the table. Not the best guy in Man Coverage, but real good in zone and is an instinctual football player with a nose for the ball
  9. The issue that I would have is that you gave up a top 20 prospect and another young pitcher that is pitching in the majors for half a season of David Price. I can only justify a move like that if you win a world series (see Chapman-Torres trade).
  10. I always thought baldy auldy had a cool mask
  11. You are certainly right about that. One of the top 10 most hated players in the league
  12. I can hear it know "What a Zhukenovian deke that was!!!"
  13. I think Lockwood gets at least another year in College
  14. Both my grandmas told me that Phil Rizzuto was the best looking Yankee. Pretty damn good ballplayer too.
  15. TBH I wear the Grey away jersey way more than I do the Pinstripes. Simple, clean, and goes with basically anything.
  16. Is this based on the appearance of the jersey or the organization?
  17. TBH I am pretty bored rn so I decide to predict my 25 man roster for the best Organization in baseball...........the New York Yankees C (2) Gary Sanchez and Austin Romine - What will Gary Sanchez do as an encore? He is a fantastic defensive catcher, and with good offensive potential. He could be very good for a very long time. Austin Romine backs him up. Doesn't have the bat that GS does, but a very good defensive option. 1B (3) Greg Bird, Chris Carter, Tyler Austin - Bird is probably my favorite player on the roster. A smooth stroke with power to all fields, I see him as a potential star. Carter brings power to the lineup, but will not have a lot of AB's unless he tears it up. Austin makes the team based on his versatility and good offensive ability. 2B (2) Starlin Castro, Rob Refsnyder - Castro had an ok year in the Bronx, I see him as a stop gap until the plethora of Yankee infield prospects develops. Refsnyder is an interesting player because he can literally play anywhere. A good, versatile piece. 3B (1) Chase Headley - Again a stop gap. Not a bad player, but not a good one either. He is a switch hitter which gives balance to the lineup SS (1) Didi Gregorius - Was arguably the Yankees best player last season. Good defender, nice smooth stroke, good bat speed. It will be interesting to see what Cashman does with Didi when Torres gets to the big club. OF (5) Aaron Judge, Aaron Hicks, Jacoby Ellsbury, Brett Gardner, Matt Holliday - Holliday was brought in to be the DH, historically he is a really good offensive player but is up there in age. Gardner is not the same player he was, but still brings a bit of speed, really good defense and is a better hitter than I think he gets credit for. Ellsbury is the starter in center, but again not the same player he was. Hicks is a good depth piece and will battle it out with Judge/Austin for the opening day job in RF. Has a cannon for an arm, is a switch hitter and can play all 3 outfield spots. Rotation (5) Masahiro Tanaka, CC Sabathia, Michael Pineda, Luis Severino, Chance Adams - Tanaka is the staff ace and is coming off a brilliant season, the only "sure thing" in the rotation. CC is struggling without the velocity he once had. He did have a very good September and the Yankees will need him do be decent this year to make a run. Pineda struggled last season, but I don't see any reason why he can't regain his form, the talent is there. Luis Severino has the most arm talent out of anyone in the organization. He is still only 22 and while others think he is destined for the BP, I think he can turn it around and become a big time pitcher. Filthy stuff. Chance Adams is my number 5 starter for the Yankees. At 22 it will be tough for him to make the team, but Cashman has come out and said that rotation spots are up for grabs in Spring Training. Has a career minor league ERA of 2.21, with 189 K's in 162 innings the past 2 years. Bullpen (6) Aroldis Chapman, Dellin Betances, Tyler Clippard, Tommy Layne, Adam Warren, Jonathan Holder - No one will have a better backend to their BP than the NYY. The Power duo of Chapman and Betances are scary to any hitter in the majors. Heck even Clippard turned his season around after the trade and was really good last year. Tommy Layne was a really good in August and September and should make the team. Holder is a younger guy who was a K machine in the minors. Warren will be a long relief/spot starter guy.
  18. The earliest you can declare for the NFL draft is 3 years removed from your High School Grad
  19. The one thing about the NFL draft that makes it unique is that you can draft a day one contributor in the 7th round. There are no real throwaway picks
  20. Not even a big country fan but the love of Johnny Cash has been in our family for years.
  21. If you do not think that Earl Thomas is this generation's Ed Reed then you do not watch Earl Thomas play very often. He has been the best safety since the 2012-13 season. He has the range, the playmaking ability, the hit power, the football IQ, the leadership ability, the tackling ability. Anything you want in a defensive back he has. He probably will end up being a top 5 maybe even a top 3 safety in NFL history. He was the FOCAL POINT of one of the best defenses in NFL history. http://www.cheatsheet.com/sports/ed-reeds-mark-on-the-top-7-safeties-in-the-nfl-today.html/?a=viewall Ed Reed "There is Earl Thomas, and there’s everyone else. The Seattle Seahawks have built arguably the greatest secondary in the history of the National Football League, and Thomas is the glue that holds it all together...You can’t put a price on how valuable Thomas is to the Seattle Seahawks"
  22. Yea in terms of play style I would say they are similar. I think he is a 3rd line guy in the NHL. Offensively, he is capable but not top 6 quality. Good 2 way player though.
