    Does anyone else think McDavid is overrated? 

     

    Hes great off the rush but once he's stationary in the offensive or defensive zone he's just average. 

     

    In my mind he will never be the calibre that people think he will be.

     

    Don't get me wrong he's a great player and he's young, but is he currently overrated?

      Crosby trained to become the best player in the world.

      McDavid trained his strengths and used them as leverage.

       

      Both are dominant.

      I don't know. Tough call.

      He's certainly no Crosby.

      McDavid is a individual player, he doesn't use his team mates, he rushes down the ice, because he is fast , he leaves his team mates in the wind. if he slowed down a bit and let his team skate with him , he would be better, but right now i believe that Crosby is a better all round player

      Definitely not overrated in terms of skill and talent. However, his leadership skills are overrated (but he's still only 21). One thing to note, aside from winning WJC gold (albeit on a stacked team), McJesus has never won any notable championships. But time will tell.
