This is probably the most realistic lineup. I wonder how many goals this lineup would score (if Eriksson remains terrible)? The offense basically would come from Horvat, Boeser, Baer and Pettersson. Virtanen/Hughes are also possibilities.

Lol you wouldn't dare say this if we landed the #1 pick. There's a reason that Dahlin is the first consensus #1 pick D man in a long time. Why the hell would Dahlin be ranked first in every single scouting service if Hughes or Boqvist will eclipse him in 3 or 4 seasons??

If he picked teams that couldn't afford him or clearly didn't have a need for forwards to not put on his list it would make it real hard for Jimbo to trade him. Not impossible. But hard.

He has to submit a 15-team no trade clause for the last 2 years. All he has to do is pick his teams right and it'll handcuff the Canucks in terms of trading him.

It's really not that hard. Lucic went for a top defensive prospect and a 13th overall pick. Benning was quoted on saying he was "working hard an in on the deal for Lucic". He had to have offered something comparable to be in on the deal. If you think Bieksa and Vey is comparable to a top D prospect and the 13th overall pick then you don't know anything about hockey my friend.
