    I would agree with Miller except all the temper tantrums he had last year on the ice. Meyer for sue. I votes Brock for a second as I like his character and the way he is becoming a more complete player.

    Is that any different than every team's fans? look at some of the suggested trades on this forum and you see the same. Every fan base wants their GM to fleece the league so we post suggestions. Nothing to see here really.

    completely agree on the issue. I think the best we can hope for with cap issues is something like: Boeser - Petey -- Hog _____ -- Miller - Podz Pearson - Horvat - Highmore Motte - Boyd -- MacEwen

    I think the point of the thread is, could we trade for him so WPG gets something for him instead of losing him for nothing? It is the very reason he might be available.

    1) Demko -- both play and new contract 2) Hog -- looking like a top 6 player 3) Boeser -- Shot is back, played healthy 4) Rathbone -- looking legit. 5) Petey and Hughes playing themselves into affordable bridge deals? (too soon?)

    Hughes can't be offer sheeted. Petey can't request one, that is completely up to other team's GMs. Where ever you are getting your information you would stop trusting it.

    Edler has been a great player for the Canucks, but I do hope he retires. I can't see a 82 game season going well for Edler next year.

    Glad H&B are back in the morning. First thing in the morning I like the humor and personality they bring as much as the sports takes.

    That's what I'm afraid of. Push him, because he will do it, and then it takes more than a week to recover. This game is not more important than the first game back. I don't know that this will happen, but as a Canuck fan I can imagine it.

    Bo is playing hurt. I hope Green doesn't play him and Miller 20 minutes each counting on them recovering on the week off. Yes the other centers don't inspire confidence but please don't run those two into the ground.

    If we are going for three balanced top 3 lines then I would suggest: Pearson - Bo -- Podz -- everyone seems to think Podz will fit well with Bo and we know Pearson does. Gaud -- Petey -- Boes -- Boes has been our best forward and works well with Petey Hog -- Miller -- Ves -- Miller and Hog work well together. Motte -- Sutter -- Jake

    There are several reasons for me to disagree, but I'll limit it to one: Canucks long term: Top line should not include Virtanen. If this plan relies on Virtanen being a Top line winger you lost me.

    So, you KNOW he is coming back? Every time he came back he said he was fine, got into a fight and left. It's not like anyone wants him to be hurt and unavailable, people want him to retire so he can enjoy his family and have a life after hockey. Coming back could actually cost him his quality of life down the road. You can't just expect him to come back and upgrade our lineup.

    Hoping for 3/4 points in these two games. Will settle for a split. Makes sense going with Holtby. His last game was strong and we want both goalies going in this condensed schedule.
