  1. mcdavid is not some terrible diver, maybe his first 2 seasons. lately not anymore than i have seen from other players.
  2. yup the whole season, they have been just letting mcdavid score. want some more sour grapes?
  3. for all yall people complaining about him being a whiney suck, look at yourself
  4. now that I know green gets paid 4th line money, he is doing a great job. green may have the most wins per $ of any coach
  5. just signed a two year term for internet 75, and haggled them down to within 6$ of the discount guys. i then managed to get a 100$ discount by just being really nice and slowly haggling back and forth, 1.5 hours of my time well spent. the extra 44$ i will have to pay over the course of the contract is worth it because spending another hour canceling and returning modems and being available between 8-3pm is not worthh 44$

You should see the deals Shaw was trying to offer after we'd switched due to the sale to Rogers.

      @Alflives

      yes, kinda.

it is generally the max speed of internet available. You will only see those speeds from unthrottled sources. generally you will be lucky to get within 10-20% of the actual top speed.

  6. the funny thing about this cody shoe guy is he shopping in a grocery store, the only differene is benning is most likely fully immunized. probably had his first shot in canada and his second in texas. it won't be too long now, aquilini will sell the team to a us city
  7. after spending 30 minutes of watching stastny highlights in his documentary, i agree he was the best player on the ice and by a country mile. there was a 1 minute clip that followed him around he was just gliding around the ice making some wide spins, that doesn't happen in todays game. d-zone coverage all man to man, its a really bad strategy. half the goals i seen were players wide open shooting into a empty net this was because of the man to man coverage. and the goalie has no chance because there is no possible way to get across the crease that fast because he's so badly out of position. i had to go watch yesterdays condensed game to compare and there is no comparison to be made it's a no contest and it has nothing to do with stastny, he made some really amazing plays. its just that it these players playing defense had no hustle and were either caught gliding, chasing, or finishing thier checks. body checks in the offensive zone is good, because 4 on 4 hockey favors the attacker, when playing d if your making a hit it better result in a turnover otherwise your hurting your team.
  8. is there any better highlights of him than this? this was some really terrible hockey btw.

Wow, just in time you say! That's a lucky cap break... <_<

  10. oh you missed where i already said that? imagine tyson 5'10" 233lb in his prime fighting tyson fury 6'9" 257lb talk about rope a dope i wonder why all the coaches, players and gm's today use analytics, video. why? is it just for fun? i wonder if they ever analyze the 80's tape for some pointers
  11. many different websites all describe and clump ice hockey and field hockey into the same group. maybe hey think its rules are close enough to be considered the same sport? no i don't think your sexist, im making sure you don't say something ridiculous and offend half the population in the world. you are probably offending many of the fans of field hockey though, who would say that they were indeed playing hockey.
  12. i have to put words into peoples mouth, to make sure they can back down gracefully. i never came here to argue about any of this garbage!!!! you want to jump into the conversation? have at it! what we were talking about originally was that mcdavid if mdavid was as good as STastny, and and this guy named hawerchuk. dave scored 1300 points in his first 950 games but somehow that wasn't good enough to be a positive player he was a -120 over those games. mcdavid is a +68 in his first 6 seasons. what do you think?
  13. listen i don't make the rules of the internet, shot put is apparently a athletics event, but is no where near a running event. the 2 billion fans of hockey probably say sure, if you offered them a ticket to see a ice hockey game. you sound very elitist.
  14. yup for sure. there was a rule at some point that the team captain had to be on the ice for the entirety of the game. another one was you weren't allowed to pass the puck between zones, that must have really stifled offense eh?
  15. also my original statemnet was that hockey is the fastest growing sport in the world, and it is!!!!! womens ice hockey, are you knocking women's influence on the sport?
  16. don't matter. if people were rich enough they would play ice hockey more. its the exact same game
  17. ah your a homer they inlude them together, some people/countries arn't rich enough to play ice hockey. but they know how to play it. we played gym hockey all the time in school it was still hockey with a stick a net and a goalie.
  18. have you tried the internet search engines out? they are really cool! https://googlethatforyou.com?q=fastest growing sport in the world https://googlethatforyou.com?q=most popular sports in the world
  19. your three years older than me. i do remember most of my friends were all bigger than thier fathers by the time they reached 18 note i didn't read any of these articles I just know they are filled with records from today. don't feel so bad that sports are played with more skill by bigger faster and with more understanding. it happens in all sports. https://guinnessworldrecords.com/records/showcase/sports-and-strength https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Olympic_records_in_athletics https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Olympic_records_in_swimming https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_world_records_in_Olympic_weightlifting#:~:text= Event ,11 April 2021 22 more rows https://www.livestrong.com/article/542877-the-average-height-of-humans-over-time/
  20. hockey is the second most played in the world next to soccer, and womens hockey is the fastest growing sport in the world. hockey is the third most popular with fans in the world soccer, cricket, hockey. north america is not the center of the universe
  21. good thing gretzky agrees with me. no one will ever score 250 bijillion points. in a season because he goalies are in another eicholon and actual team defense is played nowadays. hockey if the fastest growing sport in the world, more young kids playing means more nhl quality players and teams. your right there was some stacked teams back in the 80's but that has nothing to do with how good of an athlete they are. players are bigger faster stronger more skilled and understand the game better, thanks to the internet and technology. again look at individual sports not too many records are held from the 80's you could drop the teams down to 21 and there still wouldn't be 10-12 goal games, because it's so hard to gain entry into the offensive zone with possession. until the older folk realize how much the game changed i will continue to mock and trash the 80's defensive structure's. you have a major disillusionment to how great players and defensive strategies are today.
  22. the reason the 80's were so high in scoring was because that gms built teams to play offense first and the game was just catching up to orr's influence into the game, gretzky further influenced that. the coaches didn't have a strategy to stop the offense, just obstruct them. that stopped in 2003/2004 13 years of obstruction? goalies have been perfecting the butterfly over the last 30 years and are still improving the first real team defense strategys became widely adopted in 95/96 they didn't perfect them until about 2009/2010. newell brown changed the powerplay with the drop pass and ovechkin made ways to improve the powerplay from the 2010 season on. there have been a few slight stratetgy ajustments each year as gms and coaches copy the latest and greatest up winners, but nothing too significant since the 2010/2011 season gretzky never faced this
