I agree with this. I think Miller needs to play on an already established team with stable leaders in place.

even if its not bedard, apparently this draft is pretty freaking amazing. The entire top 3 is a can't miss. Michkov is just as dynamic as Bedard apparently but he has the whole Russian visa issue and he's signed with a KHL team until 2026 (yikes). Adam Fantilli could also be a franchise centerman. only 6 games in but this draft class is stacked.

lazar is kind of like our poor man's defensive specialist at this point I think. Aman has been alright but its his first season. we'd hoped it would be dickinson last year but that obviously went to sh*t. long gone are the days when we had Hank and Kes as our top 2 in their prime and Manny Malholtra as that godly face-off man/defensive specialist. The "checking lines" we had bring back fond memories.

do we not have enough actual mature veterans on the team? maybe because we are one of the youngest teams, we don't have enough older guys that have been around that the players can lean on. No matter how much of a waste of money beagle was, he still was one of the vets in that bubble run that helped a lot. Guys like Sutter, Edler, Beagle, Tanev..etc. made somewhat of a balance for this team for the younger guys. I think a lot off the ice too. Maybe that's what we miss now. Ever since our team's obsession with getting all young guys.

that may be true, but crosby didn't get his second and third rings for a long time after his first one until JR arrived.

out of the assistant coaches, yeo was the only one that NHL teams deemed good enough to employ as a head coach before. He's also only been with this team for 6 games. If you're going to point the finger, why not at the guy (ahem... Jason King) that's been around for literally the whole time this teams special teams has struggled, dating back to last year?

well honestly what can we really do right now is what im wondering. fire the coach again? who's available? would someone like trotz want to coach here? hire another newbie rookie coach? make a big trade? other teams have probably taken notice of miller and his stock is likely a lot lower compared to the offseason. perhaps horvat? But trading the captain? There's definitely a lot of decisions needed to be made. I would not want to be part of that management group right now.

i don't think he would flat out say or reveal anything on After Hours but I think they are looking to make moves probably. JR as everyone knows is not a patient man.
