interestingly the scouting reports on him when drafted was concern over his attitude at times and his bipolar play. when he feels like it, he goes all in. when he doesn't want to put in work he just doesn't. i think he peaked last year with the 99 points but i do see what you're talking about with his complete laziness.

another issue in the dressing room?
PetterssonOrPeterson replied to PetterssonOrPeterson's topic in Canucks Talk
Solid points. My guess is as good as yours. I think there was something about Nate Schmidt being an outcast? amongst his teammates? Holtby also had some choice words for his teammates. You're right. All I can say for sure is I really miss the Sedins as our leaders. I think it starts with the leadership. I don't think we ever heard anything like this come out at all even when we struggled and we had Hank as Captain. Rumours like this come out for a reason and like you said, it isn't the first time. Kind of having second thoughts about this current leadership core and Bo. However, I'm not sure and I'd like to believe it isn't true as it is worrisome. -
another issue in the dressing room?

Agreed. Once the team gets their mojo going, this type of talk will disappear. I just think it's a little interesting since it might've been Dickinson who might've been "the source" of these supposed cliquey culture accusations after he got traded to that team. He was on this team last year when those rumours were going around and up until a couple weeks ago was a Canuck. In all likeness if it really is him, he could just be talking crap about his former team. -
https://canucksarmy.com/news/real-cliquey-dressing-room-canucks-making-league-wide-news-wrong-reasons The Vancouver Canucks spent all of training camp and the preseason talking about how important it was going to be to have a strong start to the season. Now, we are four games in and the team has made history. They have blown a multi-goal lead in each of their first four games and now sit with a 0-3-1 record, becoming the first team in NHL history to do so. Obviously, the beginning of the season is major news throughout the city of Vancouver, and the fanbase can’t be happy with what they’ve seen early on this year. We all know what it looks like when the team attempts to dig themselves out of a hole they dug early on to get into the playoffs — we saw it last season. As the team makes history for all the wrong reasons, the Canucks’ first four games are becoming a league-wide story. Wednesday morning, on Daily Faceoff Live, Frank Seravalli was joined by former player and current Chicago Blackhawks TV analyst Colby Cohen, and the first story that they brought up on their league-wide show was the Canucks’ start. “I’ve heard there’s a lot of friction in that dressing room between some of the star players and then the rest of the team,” said Cohen. “It’s real cliquey in that dressing room. The way that they’re promoting players, particularly on their social media channels, and just everything that I hear coming out of that dressing room, it seems really dysfunctional at the moment.” ^^ I'm not sure how credible this source is, given Cohen is a TV analyst of a completely different team, but I just found it a little interesting because there were similar rumblings early last season when we were struggling too. It's likely he's just stirring the pot on something that isn't even there, but it makes me think about the alleged rumours that time about the whole "team miller vs team horvat" rift in the dressing room and players forming small cliques and groups. Obviously those were silenced after Bruce was hired and the entire regime change, but... Makes you kind of wonder? Hearing something similar such as "cliques" within the team... again.... I don't think there is anything to this and sure, there will be tension in the dressing room whenever the team is struggling but it was just sort of a dejavu moment coming across this article.

Bruce Boudreau's Major Flaw as a Coach
PetterssonOrPeterson replied to MikeyD's topic in Canucks Talk
are players that sensitive now? is there no accountability? because the head coach of the team calls them out for their piss poor inability to hold a lead, it's unacceptable for these pampered millionaires? -
this organization has been one of the laughingstocks of the league for the last 52 (going on 53) years. really makes you wonder if things will ever change. We have these years of "supposed to be's" that end up disappointing and "hype" that never follows through in the end. I just feel bad for the this entire fanbase.

After the Oilers game, Bo and a few of the other leaders on the team kept insisting it was the special teams they needed to get better at and that they did "a lot of good things". I think they're neglecting the issue that they give up once they have the lead. They put their foot off the gas and let the other team come at them. We sort of see the same thing here. Sloppiness all around. By what this team went through last year, you'd think they'd improve at that. Guess they need to learn their lesson again.
