Obviously our cap issues has everything to do with the mismanagement of our past GM's but he ended up getting what he wanted with his move back to Florida, retiring in the sun. While the Canucks recapture penalty screwed them over these past few years. Also still getting paid by us years after he officially retired. Turned out to be a pretty good contract in the end for him.

I think Sutter is one of those coaches that knows how to adapt his coaching style no matter the era. Granted, he has a lot of the good players needed to work with, but he seems to add a sense of stability no matter the team he's coaching. It's almost similar to JR in terms of management that no matter the age, they're good at identifying what works in the current game. Those are the signs of good coaches/executives.

It will show where his priorities are at. In it for the money? Or Stanley Cup legacy?
