  1. The team is inconsistent. The top line has not been dominant in any game this year. All in spurts. Where's Petey? Where's Horvat, Miller? They just didn't even bother to show up. The coach has to have these guys ready from the get go. How many games this year have they just coasted and watched teams skate circles around them? inexcusable. We can't compete with Montreal, that is clear.

Podkolzin will be here in April and so it would be a bit silly to try and trade for one between now and then.   I also believe that there’s more than meets the eye with Zack MacEwen.    The guy likely will never before a top 6 forward   But I’m still liking a lot of what I see out of Zack.

Maybe not guys! This article says Podkolzin might not happen this year after all.

  3. Biggest problem is that he goes out and does nothing on his line. Doesn’t hit, doesn’t skate hard. Just glides along looking like he’s ok with being on the roster without contributing. He’s not a hard worker right now. Does that mean he can’t learn to work hard, no. He looks entitled out there which is the biggest problem. He hasn’t had to work hard for a spot.  Now that he does, it almost looks like he doesn’t want to or he doesn’t know how to.

Bailey is a full tier below Virtanen. Just because Jake was drafted high and doesn't score 60-70 points a year doesn't mean he's a bust. Lots of high draft picks settle into middle 6 successful careers.

I think it just bothers people that they were expecting a top six player for where he was drafted. It was a miss in terms of where he was drafted. He should have been a top six player but I don’t know how well he was scouted for the other aspects of his game. Creativity or hockey smarts?

2 turnovers in 10 seconds for myers.

Exactly the problems are self inflicted. Use the boards. They pass it up the middle. It’s beyond frustrating. It’s also when they have time so it doesn’t make sense. They look nervous. I guess ten losses in a row to the same team will do that but calm down out there.
