There should be so much motivation for this team. You have been awful against them and this is the effort you come out with. You need to show you can play with these guys. Yep thy can't.

I think what all of this is proving is the canucks are not at their level. 0/19 is a terrible pp start. At a loss as to why its so bad.

For those of you who have missed it. It talks about how Podkolzin might not join the Canucks this year.

Podkolzin will be here in April and so it would be a bit silly to try and trade for one between now and then. I also believe that there’s more than meets the eye with Zack MacEwen. The guy likely will never before a top 6 forward But I’m still liking a lot of what I see out of Zack.
Maybe not guys! This article says Podkolzin might not happen this year after all.

We aren’t sure what we have yet with him. He could be the answer. It just seems they are lacking in that area since Bertuzzi left.

Biggest problem is that he goes out and does nothing on his line. Doesn’t hit, doesn’t skate hard. Just glides along looking like he’s ok with being on the roster without contributing. He’s not a hard worker right now. Does that mean he can’t learn to work hard, no. He looks entitled out there which is the biggest problem. He hasn’t had to work hard for a spot. Now that he does, it almost looks like he doesn’t want to or he doesn’t know how to.

I don’t know what anyone else thinks. I like the make up of our team, I just feel
we need that big hulking power forward. I always thought Anthony’s by Mantha would look great in a Canucks uniform. Still young and learning. Any other ideas or players you guys think would help this team?

How was there no penalty on Horvat there? He was grabbed after deking or hooked. Bad reffing tonight.

I think we still lack a true power forward that’s tough and can be strong on the puck. Miller is the closest thing to that.

I think it just bothers people that they were expecting a top six player for where he was drafted. It was a miss in terms of where he was drafted. He should have been a top six player but I don’t know how well he was scouted for the other aspects of his game. Creativity or hockey smarts?

That could have all been avoided had the ref called schieffle. He started that whole thing crosschecking Hoglander. Dangerous as well.

They are not taking enough shots on the power play. Keep it simple guys! They basically kill their own pp when they pass, pass, pass.

How is that not holding on Pettersson along the boards? That’s all he could do. Dumb.

Miller is still trying to find his legs. We haven’t really seen him carry the puck in and hold onto it. Good shift though.

It would be nice to see Pettersson dominate a game. He hasn’t done that this year. It would be nice to see him all over the ice. He seems tentative. I still think his skating needs to improve. Add more power if he can.

Bo needs to wake up a bit here. He’s gone silent the last couple of games.

Exactly the problems are self inflicted. Use the boards. They pass it up the middle. It’s beyond frustrating. It’s also when they have time so it doesn’t make sense. They look nervous. I guess ten losses in a row to the same team will do that but calm down out there.

The team is inconsistent. The top line has not been dominant in any game this year. All in spurts. Where's Petey? Where's Horvat, Miller? They just didn't even bother to show up. The coach has to have these guys ready from the get go. How many games this year have they just coasted and watched teams skate circles around them? inexcusable. We can't compete with Montreal, that is clear.
