Olli was benched for what reason? So Chatfield the veteren can be in for what?
-
Jake Virtanen is taking up a roster spot. Put Will Lockwood in. At least he will have some drive in him and it will add some energy into the lineup.
-
Why is Pettersson so afraid to shoot the puck when he is open? Always passing it off.
-
So when do we start to worry about Pettersson? I don’t think he’s going to be close to the scoring lead this year.

Guys, I don't mean to bring down the mood, but Petey was -1 in a 7-1 game.
That line also had zero points which is even more alarming.

Great win. Crazy at 7-1 and not one point from the top line. It’s a great thing and also a negative.
-
Why hasn’t Green changed anything on that top line? He’s just left it to flounder.
-
I really think Petey came in out of shape. There is no other explanation for his skating and lack of energy.

All we need now is Petey to showcase that shot of his and I’ll call it a great night
He hasn’t tried deking anyone out this year or taken his shot. I don’t know what it will take to get him out of this funk. I thought the last game was his breakout game. Apparently not.

Give it time. Petey is not a machine, he'll have his groove back soon enough. Weird year, young guy, friends left town, have some patience...
Also fully expected the Hollander to slow down, he started in mid-season form and will have a harder time as the season goes on
2 points in 8 games now. He doesn’t look dangerous at all out there. That is what is scary. It’s like he’s lost all his abilities.

Is it me or does Petey look a little out of shape? Slower and winded more easily?
Yes, I totally agree. He always seems
winded. If anything for next year. I hope he works on his skating to add more power.

Pettersson always looks so gassed going to the bench.
-
Cmon lotto line get it together and break the slumps your in. I really wish Boeser was more consistent.
-
Our top players still are doing nothing which is very concerning. I still think Pettersson is out of shape. He just looks slow out there.
-
Man, they are giving up prime opportunities to shoot. Those short passes are terrible. Seems they just are overthinking everything.

According to Hughes there a step in the right direction?
Yes that was a scary quote. They are satisfied for playing well for 8 minutes. Hmmmm. They should be angry. Who is holding these players feet to the fire? You should come out with fire and they don't.

Who is a good candidate for GM?
I would look at someone from Tampa at the end of the year.
-
If Benning goes you just know Green is gone as well. General managers usually like to pick their own coach.

we down graded in the off season sadly. Bad contracts kept us from signing the key players.
Who is responsible for those bad contracts? Shouldn't he be held accountable? 7 years people.

Benning has had 7 years. How many more do you want to give him. We are the only team who has hangs onto mediocre general managers. You have to make a compelling argument as to why we keep him.

I love listening to all of the Canuck fans who only show up when they think the team is getting good. This year will send a ton of them back into hibernation. We are going to see a step back this year. We are going to see a minor reset. Get some cap space back.
Cmon man, What are you so excited about so far this season? They have shown nothing. They look like garbage and any time someone speaks up with frustration its oh everyone jumps ship and what a loser fanbase. It's better than pretending everything is fine. This is a shortenend season. You can't afford a start like this, so stop with questioning fans loyalty.

It's not like the system green is playing is great, we have some good players, don't think this is on Benning
How do you figure?

in Travis Greens world its ok to be outshot almost every game. That makes perfect sense. I am mostly angry that we aren't dictating any of the play except maybe five minutes of this game.

We are so lucky to be tied 1-1. Again our first line is non-existent.
