Graves leddy olesiak Larsson those our 4 d that woulda fit in perfectly with guys we have
Literally only Larsson makes sense for us, and as has been mentioned many times before, we didn’t even have an opportunity to sign him. Imagine we gave up an asset for his rights and he just ended up signing in Seattle anyways. It would be pandemonium on here. Some of y’all will never be happy.

I’m happy they picked Lind over Gadjovich. The style of player he has the potential to become is far more valuable to our lineup than Lind would be. Sucks to lose him but every team has to lose someone.

Kids are out of school, some posters have payroll-envy, and things aren't rolling out as they had it planned on NHL '13.
By the way, I'm not able to send you a physical beer, so hope you're able to enjoy the virtual beer.
I’m at a nice little pub on the island, crushed a couple Kilkennys

We have a toxic fanbase, part of which is well represented on places like reddit, twitter, and some members here. *cough* Squamfan...
I honestly just don’t understand it though. Everything that’s reported by local media always ends up having some form of negative spin on it. What’s the point in wasting your time and energy on being so negative. I’m just sick of every bit of news coming out a Vancouver is just useless conjecture. Damn, I need a beer lol.

What’s the deal with the paranoia within this fanbase? Why is the sky always falling?

People are seriously overhyping Lind and Gadjovich. Yea they are nice pieces, but by no means would we be losing a sure fire NHL level talent. We should be thankful that our options are for the most part low value.

Not at all holtby has value it’s been leaked they take Schmidt if you don’t find a trade partner you then have freed up 10 mil in cap and say have a d Corp of
Hughes fa/zadarov
graves/leddy Myers
Rath/juolevi hamonic
if he woulda made one of those kind of tradeslooks a lot better then last year
It’s so redundant to give up pieces to get Leddy when we already have Schmidt. I’m not gonna reply after this because you are literally trippin’ my man hahahaha.

So remember this another flaw of Benning is asset management he’s willing to risk losing good prospect rather then flipping him and 2nd for a leddy or graves zadarov
Okay let’s say, hypothetically, we pick one of those guys up. Who gets exposed on D then? Do we lose OJ as a result? So you wanna pay a second for an dman and in the process lose a dman. So instead of losing 1 good prospect, we lose 2, and a pick. What a head scratcher that would be.

And then when asked about the player cites his SJW initiatives as being a driving force behind the trade.... Personally I'm a little tired of Jim's virtue signalling with respect to building this positive locker room culture.... this philosophy has been in place for several years now and has not yielded a ton of results. I think a better focus would be on improving the teams cap situation and overall asset management.
I also don't really get why we didn't direct Seattle into taking some cap off our books....in addition to exposing Holtby, Pearson and Myers could have been exposed in an attempt to get them to clear some valuable cap space. Last offseason for UFAs was proof that it was a buyer's market for teams with cap space. Clearing all our dead cap should be our number one priority....yet we seem to have pigeon holed Seattle into taking a flyer on a cheap contract like Lind or Gadj.... Maybe they bail us out and take Holtby.... Personally not holding my breath on that front. I doubt Francis is going to take too kindly to our little Dickinson maneuver and just bail us out of our 4.3 million dollar backup goalie problem just because.
Oh god, just give it a rest already. We got excellent value out of a 3rd rounder, why can’t you dorks just leave it at that.

That's your 7 forwards. Seattle can pick one of Virtanen, Lind, MacEwen, Gadjovich, Highmore. Or they can take Madison Bowey. Or they can take Holtby.
Which one you think they are taking?
With that selection they might just end up picking a name out of a hat

The reality is that we are going to lose somebody, and we’re lucky that we won’t be losing any significant value.

Dickinson is an NHL player. Lind isn't. Of course he could get there, but let's not pretend they're on par with each other right now.
I think Alf needs some scotch, seems to help him think more clearly.

No, we need a team of strictly offensive studs. Having a well rounded team is overrated, just ask the godly Laffs.

They can trade for good young exposable players at bargain prices.
Seems like they lost this one though

Sorry but do you have any evidence of this? Or is it more made up nonsense? Maybe it’s possible that Jim and his team work together to come to decisions? If he didn’t want to pick Petey, he wouldn’t have.

The people who are criticizing the trade have never even watched Dickinson play. Monday morning couch potatoes who think they know better than anyone else.
I remember watching him throughout the playoffs last year and just thought he was a solid hockey player. Can always use those.

It’s not about points; it’s about this guy playing a defensive minded role as a centre. He’s horrid on faceoffs! Does Bo take all the D zone left hand draws? This trade is very likely to cost us Lind.
is this guy worth Lind and a third?
Every team is going to lose someone, Alf. We should consider ourselves lucky that we won’t have better talent exposed. We just got a big defense first center for fairly cheap. Too much value is being placed on a 3rd rounder.
