No this AR poll was done very recently with the questions referencing the occupation in Ottawa and how that might affect opinions. I don’t see Trudeau using the military unless the occupiers goad him into it with violence against the RCMP or the citizens of Ottawa, or Coutts for that matter. You’re right it would be a mistake on his part if he sent them in first. I think some of the truckers will go home soon now that their trucks/companies/insurance are at risk as well as Ford’s plan, which gives them the cover of saying “we won.” What’s left will be the collection of anarchists, extremists and assorted crackpots. Who knows how or when that ends. For the record I support the right to protest which occurred on the first weekend but after that it became an illegal occupation of the core of Ottawa in my view. The city was failed completely by their mayor and worse by the OPS, and to a smaller degree the OPP. I think there will come a reckoning with the OPS when this is done.

True. In many ways I don’t disagree with his basic premise but I feel like he and many others are jumping the gun a little. My gut feeling, and hope, is that the numbers do continue the downward trend and in the not too distant future that he can say I told you so

In a brief scan nowhere could I see that Covid was last of 10, matter of fact it looks like 1 or 2 everywhere but Quebec and the Atlantic provinces (unless I’m missing something.) The people examining the numbers suggest it is back to #1 for December because of Omicron.

According to Angus Reid you are incorrect. Just over 1/2 of Canadians wanted restrictions lifted prior to the Trucker’s convoy. There has been a notable shift as a result of the protests, and not the one you were hoping for. Down to only 1 in 3 now.
