Look at the poll questions N results on Hnh or dnd, or listen to the text contributions or fan call ins on post game shows. What's the over under on blocked shots??? Man we really didn't know how good we had it, all the old whipping Boys continue to have good careers after leaving here. Edler is playing well in LA Tanev is a stud in Calgary. Those 2 combined block more shots on their own than our entire team I hated Benning but now with more hindsight I absolutely loathe him. He created a dissented uninterested heartless roster. Over 50% of the fan base is indifferent and apathetic towards the Canucks. This is worse than the Messier Keenan Era, Rutherford has his work cut out for him and he better act fast cause right now it looks like it's more of the same. Not sure if you're being sarcastic but this is apples and Oranges. The 1999 draft was a perceived weak draft at the time. Connor Bedard is a generational talent. It will be impossible to trade up to a top 3 spot this year without trading a Hughes or a pettersson. Are you willing to do that? Yes, it is impossible.

This season is a loss. I would be happy to watch roster players fly out the door (not petey Hughes or demko) and lose as many games as possible. Even if they don't win the lottery it will show a direction. This isn't working

Tanking : Trade expiring contracts for assets, try to clear cap and replace roster spots with young players. And let the chips fall where they may. this team needs to stop fighting for a playoff spot. The lottery isn't guaranteed but I think fans would appreciate a clear vision and to see management act it out. The players will still play as competitively as they can.
