  1. The hard-core fans are a small % and by definition being hard core they will be back regardless of what happens so the organization doesn't need to fight for their dollars or time. The smarter move which I see happening is appealing to us casual fans who still want to have a somewhat competitive team without actually caring about wins/losses. It doesn't matter if Canucks don't make the playoffs as long as they score goals and make games entertaining we will all go to games and if Rogers arena is full every night no changes are needed IMHO.
  2. For those of us who don't want to wait 3 years for a rebuild and are content to just going to games for fun the managment team is doing a great job. Draft picks are great for "tankers" but luckily managment is more on the casual fan side it seems with acquiring ready to go players. Vancouver fans don't have a stomach for a rebuild we want entertainment.
  3. How the hell does Kravstov always know where to pass or what to do? This guy was a throw away by Rags how come he is playing so well for being a nobody?
  4. Fashion is a growing part of our society and the world. The margins in fashion are 50%+ if you have any spare money laying around investing into an online fashion brand or your own apparel line is probably the smartest investment or use of funds out there in these times.
  5. Garland is such a outside player he never cuts in or aggressively pushes forward such a passive player, just doesn't fit well here.
  6. Mcdavid can stick handle just as well as EP but because of higher speed McDavid can actually penetrate through the D while EP often loses the puck during the split the d move.
  7. Tocc already said he has a massive system plan to introduce but won't do it till full roaster turnover is complete this summer. D focus will be insane next year just wait.
  8. Its insulting to think any owner would ever, EVER entertain losing 2.9 million dollars a year for 5+ years on a player. That just isnt possible, it is not financially savvy or smart. 2.9 mill to buy out OEL will render Vancouver franchise revenue model inoperable, considering the net revenue is about $30 mill, to take a 10% company wide margin hit on a single player is never going to fly.
  9. I am sure Canucks checked in on Chychurn but were not welcomed by Coyotes management, they had the same assets as Ottawa but they either said something rude/aggressive during negotiations or pissed someone off enough to lose their chance at the trade. Remember GM's trade not for players but for future favors, for their friends, for egos etc. Just because Ottawa offered the same things as Canucks could have does not mean the Canucks trade would be accepted by the Coyotes GM, there is a lot more to trades and GM personalities than just the assets going in and out.
  10. What people dont understand about NHL trades and GM's personalities is that not every GM wants to deal with another GM. The deals that are made arent just made on players, they are made with specific favors in mind and specific people behind the scenes pulling the strings. There is a lot of things that goes behind the scenes that are not obvious to fans, a lot of GMs specifically dislike each other, many will NOT trade with specific teams or deal with specific agents in coming assets etc so they opt not to move players to specific teams. Just because Ottawa managed to execute this trade with # of assets, does NOT mean that Canucks could have done the same with the same assets because not every GM deals equally with every team.
  11. The picks that Canucks are obtaining arent designed to be used as picks, they are designed to be flipped for mid-20s assets - this is the clear direction and prerogative of the management team. As a fan I am not okay to wait for another 3 or 4 years for picks to develop, I rather have a mid-league team that is entertaining and allows me to go to games and expect high scoring games even if they lose. As a casual fan what the management is going for works just fine by me.
  12. Wow Miller out week to week - huge news for team tank!
  13. No offense but it's kinda insulting to the Boston organization who is on a historic pace for a point record setting year that you think one of the worst teams in a league can even come close to winning.. "seems like a game Vancouver wins" not even close, how about a -1.5 spread that pays even money right now on Boston that is how insanely obvious it is that Canucks will lose this. Have to shake my head sometimes at the types of predictions people make.
  14. Open net, tons of time too.. unreal.. he is still a 30 goal scorer in potential we have to convince other teams of this fact
  15. Not true he is very much a super fan of the team and actually watches every game and is involved way more than other owners in the league. Why buy a team if you aren't going to enjoy it? Makes me shake my head at some of the other owners who buy teams but hardly go to games or be involved.
  16. It doesn't make any sense does it? These guys are multiple millionaires some of the richest guys in their city and yet they look like that? You would think being on TV every day and having access to the best cosmetics, treatment and health practices to look that bad is beyond me.
  17. I don't know about that.. I am a little shocked too that the refs need to review the video to know who is on the ice. These guys work dozens if gamed a month they have and should have a keen eye for every single player on the ice at all times
  18. That's not a bad thing at all. It gets annoying to have obnoxious fans or loud fans screaming when you are trying to have a conversation with your date or trying to close a business deal. There is little value for a loud building for many of us casual fans because it actually ruins the experience.
  19. Why stick it? LOU overpayed and gave Canucks a gift.. hoping for someone to lose their job is terrible karma. Lou already is under the gun.
  20. Boeser had a step on him and still took the hook. I really think and hope other teams do not pay attention too much to other players so if we do trade Boeser we can pitch him for his previous years and potential vs this year. Not every GM is going to know how slow BOESER been this year right?
