yeah I think half of Myers shitty play is guilt for what we had to pay him. I think he would stay here for a reasonable price on a renewal. We all hate on him not because of his play but because we expected way more for his Cap hit. We would all love him at a price he is worth

The point is Motte would be great, another guy who would take out Drysydle or MdDovid, Matthews or Mariner, and especially Marchand and be happy to get suspended in playoffs to help the team. but not sure he would wait till playoffs. D depth? Still a conversation? Brock is the depth you need in the front. The argument you had about D all season was cap related.... between OEL, Huges and Myers there was no room for D-men to come up from abby. We have way more defense in the pipe than we even drafted this year. We have way too many Offensive d-men than secondary stay home d-men and our draft just got a couple more. The reason why Brock cant go out to the open wrist shot is he has to cover for the likes of OEL, Hughes, Myers, Heronik and likely Wolanin and willingar unless the coaching staff figures out that for every offensive D guy you need someone who can stop the 2 on 1 the other way, and it shouldnt be Brock Boeser. If Myers gets a defensman who can play behind him, like an actual defensive Dman, Myers would be worth his final cap hit. And would likely sign for a reasonable amount. And he could get his legs going. Would like to see him in front of the opposite goalie instead of blocking Demko or Martin

I think if we just do what Boston did in 2011 and take a ton of penalties that include taking out some key players, our PK and Demko will survive enough that the fake "equalizer" penalties will allow Petey and Kuz and Brock and Millar and Hughes to outscore any goals against so yeah, We can take out mcdavid, dries, and then still do mariner and matthews... I dont think the Oilers or Leaves can beat us with the right coaching

Spencer should be given the chance to play a quarter of the games he played last season. We can afford it with OG Demko back. Martin will play up on watching Demmers and we can actually trade Martin knowing who is down in Abby. We dont need to shop for another knowing who is coming up between the pipe.

My whole point about Woo is he is the backup singer these offensive Dmen need, Hughes, Horonek, Myers, OEL, Wolanin all need behind them. remember PK Subban? geez I was so happy when he stayed on the PP for the whole two minutes with his ego, we had our best shorthanded goals when he was on the ice. Subban had good years when paired with Roman Hamrlik, Hal Gill or Gorges. Then Montreal put him with Markov and yes they scored a ton but everyone scored a ton more even against Price. So all you fan boys wanting Hughes and Horonek, or Hughes and Winningar to play same line need to pay more attention to what actually works. I totally agree with you. My point is, Hughes needs a partner who can lose a few teeth and still challenge anyone who dares come up the ice when hughes is behind the offense blue line.
