No JV18 in OT when he was probably the strongest forward for us in regulation time. His speed is exactly what we need in OT. But we’ll probably see Eriksson in OT before Jake gets a shot....cuz that’s how Green works. And I’d probably give Stecher a shot in OT over Tanev and Myers. The smaller and quicker frame in OT may work better, and at least his smaller frame will not take out his own guys in OT as well.

Hopefully Green doesn’t pull his usual 3rd period tactics and bench JV18. Jake is moving out there.

After seeing Marky break his stick following that shootout loss, I really hope Green puts him back in the net. Nice to see that fire in Marky, love the passion. Hope it rubs off on the rest. Marky gets my vote for the next start!

I’m sure they’re angry and waiting to come out flying in the next for a WIN! They’ll be just fine. Hope you’ll be too!

That timeout should have come when it was 5-3 or 5-4...not when it got to 5-5. The boys looked sloppy after allowing that shorty, a timeout after that to get back on their game would have been nice.

Hope they keep Hughes on PP1 so that he can move the puck quicker and setup Brock or Petey for those one-times OV style. We got 2 guys who can shoot bombs from their spots, it’s just a matter of setting them up a lot quicker. No-brainer there! But knowing our coaching staff, it’ll be back to Eagle at the point on PP1 for some frustrating slow-mo figure skating rubbish...love it!! Heck I’d even try to put Stech in there at the point over Eddie on the PP. As for our PP2 unit, that just seems to be a try-all-combinations approach. The next time we get a PP we should just bench that extra skater cuz we play better even strength! Hope they sort out that PP soon! C’mon fellas!

Seeing the quality of his play, perhaps they should not showcase him all that much!

Boy was that opening ceremony one to remember. Still have goosebumps from seeing Capt. Kirk skating out in full gear! The guys followed it up with a big win! What an opener!!!! Love it!

In typical fashion, 2 games in and the coach’s leash is shortened. Give the guy 10-15 games before making a fair assessment on things. New faces, 4 new lines, 3 new defense pairings.. there have been a lot of changes. Luck has never been on our side where we hit the ground running at the start of the season, especially with so many changes.

Another game where the opponent’s Captain looks silly and dives to the ice after the push by Myers, this followed by the game where McDavid celebrates in front of our bench. On the other hand, our Capt Bo gets hit hard and clean by Tkachuk. What does Bo do?? Skates back and commends Matthew on the good bodycheck. Just love his maturity. And rarely do you see Bo not giving it his all. So looking forward to the next game where he is introduced as our Captain!

Nothing from Green as yet? Or is he still learning his numbers? He’ll blame the loud arena for the too many men calls against us. It’s time for the coaching staff to take some of the heat and let the boys just play some hockey!

Yet Green will probably bench him for the next one! Coach Green, the best!

Green??

Gaudette was one the top performers in the preseason. You’re hitting his confidence by sitting him in the press box, almost as bad as sending him down. Ride that momentum that the kid had, play him and bench Sutter!!

I’m sure that our Captain Bo will know better than to score, then skate up to and celebrate in front of an opponent’s bench. Not cool McDavid, not cool!
