I said it in another thread but trading the captain of the team when he is playing like this - is THIS kind of player - is almost too ridiculous to fathom. People talk about a massive haul of a return….well, I’d argue you ain’t getting back anything as good as Bo. We drafted him as a kid and look at him now. Trading him, as you say, is just plain DUMB. You do what you have to elsewhere on the roster to make room cap wise.

Lol at the folks complaining about a win. Worry about style points some other time.

The L’s of this management group are surprisingly ample.

Its almost to the point where trading him is just bad, BAD optics. Especially if we can crawl back into contention at some point. How the hell do you trade away the bloody captain who is having a season like this? It’s ludicrous to think about. Assuming his contract demands aren’t too pie in the sky.

Lol, at that last bit. Could very well be true. I’m going to assume he doesn’t need the money….and he sure strikes me as someone who could easily say tomorrow, “F this, I’m outta here”. At this point, I’m not really upset at all this - Bo gone is the only thing that would legit UPSET me - but I’m mostly just bemused at the circus, while also somewhat sad that a Stanley Cup is likely still but a pipedream at this point.

More and more Rutherford is looking like a bit of an idiot….and at the very least, an a**hole. But perhaps he is playing some 4D chess here, by attempting to absorb much of the heat on himself, in some sort of Hail Mary attempt to relieve the mounting pressure on the players and coaches. Just throwing stuff out there in an attempt to comprehend this sh*t show.

Underwhelming to be sure, but too early to make any definitive pronouncements. I continue to worry about the amount of inner drive.

Trading Bo is a mistake. Can’t quite believe we are at this point now.

I’ve never thought much of Bruce’s technical coaching, but in no way do I think he’s on the hook for all of the dysfunction on the ice. But he is the head coach so a certain amount falls on his head. I’d rather they fire him and let him go back to spot duty on TV than publicly keep flogging him in the media like they do. It’s bush league.

What a bizarre situation.

JT looks better now than he did at the start of the season. Whether or not he’s “back at centre” good….we will see tomorrow. If he can function well there then our centre depth looks, as Willie D would say, REAL GUD.

The next generations are going to be degenerate gamblers, mark my words.

I don’t see him maintaining the pace for 50 but how incredible would that be - even though he currently sits at a 76 goal pace. Madness! I mean folks seemed to be shocked by what he’s been doing, but he’s shown to be a 30 goal guy….and if Miller could explode from a 65 point guy to 99, why couldn’t Bo go from 30 goals to 40…even 45. 50? But let’s face it, with this start 40 goals would almost seem slightly disappointing, lol. At some point Bo isn’t going to score in a game…could very well be tonight. And that will seem strange.
